If a person was poison
Now that would be you
The kind that kills you slowly
Well It did take about sixteen years
A poison that tastes sweet
msg lurking in the background
leaves a bitter taste on the tip of your tongue
But you always come back
It's more sweet you say to yourself
Only a little bit bitter
But you are wrong
Inside the chemicals reverse
More poisonous than presumed
Bitterness its premises
Over time you become numb
Your blood turns cold
Still addicted to the sweetness
That's all you go back for
You say to yourself
It's only bitter in the moment
But do not see the greater damage
What are you doing to yourself
You know your becoming sick
still craving the sugar
You are different now
It changed you
You are no longer yourself
But the sweetness you absorbed
addicted to what you've become
You eat away at yourself
From the inside out until there is nothing but your addition your cravings
They tell this story to remind the others
it was curiosity...that killed the cat
