"oh, hello, jaehyun-hyung," donghyuck said with a grin as he got home that day. he threw down his back and entered the living room where jaehyun was sitting on the couch with his brother.
"hey, hyuck," jaehyun replied, grinning back.
"doyoung, go away, i wanna hang out with hyung," donghyuck whined.
"go back to mark," doyoung sneered, making jaehyun giggle.
"how was practice?" jaehyun asked him. doyoung sighed and paused the movie.
"good," donghyuck said, grinning. he wiped sweat from his forehead, having decided to walk home instead of showering in the locker rooms like he used to. "mark helped me nail this one move for married to the music that had taken so fucking long-"
"that's good," said doyoung, his smile as wide as the cheshire cat.
donghyuck sneered at him before heading upstairs.
jaehyun rolled his eyes, lightly slapping doyoung's thigh.
"don't bully the kid," he said.
doyoung raised his eyebrows. "excuse me, i'm the only one who's allowed to bully hyuck." he giggled when he looked at jaehyun, playfully ruffling his hair.
"alright, now come back here," jaehyun grumbled, pulling doyoung towards him so that their thighs touched. "you jumped about a foot in the air when donghyuck came through the front door."
"shut up," doyoung whined, leaning into jaehyun's side, the younger wrapping am arm around him.
"play the movie," jaehyun murmured.

"hey... so, renjun," donghyuck said awkwardly as he caught up with the chinese boy on friday after school.
"donghyuck," he said in surprise, clutching his satchel. "um, hi."
the peachy-haired boy shook his head, reminding himself of why he'd approached renjun in the first place.
"the drama geeks are getting milkshakes after school, want to come?" he asked.
renjun blinked in surprise. "i- i can't, sorry, hyuck," he replied, looking guilty.
"uh, how come?"
"extra training," renjun mumbled, "the finals are tomorrow, so..."
"oh, uh," donghyuck said, scratching the back of his neck. "that's fine. well, good luck with the game."
"good luck with the extra rehearsals;" renjun put in, "heard about those."
"thanks," donghyuck said. "bye, then."
"hyuck," he said, catching his arm.
donghyuck slowly shook him off.
"i still want you to make up with jaemin," renjun admitted, looking down. "trying to mend bridges with me isn't really working. not to mention awkward..."
"right, well," he said. "'cause that's gonna happen," he scoffed.
"jeno misses you, too," renjun said quietly. "think about it... please?"
"i'll think about it," donghyuck said begrudgingly. "bye, bitch."
"bye, headass," renjun said, rolling his eyes. he checked his watch and, upon finding himself late for the start of training, he ran off.
donghyuck sighed and trudged to the theatre, where everyone was waiting outside.
"hey, chen!" sanha yelled.
