Chapter 7
The Grizzly Sin Of SlothArden's P.O.V.
I woke up to find a pair and strong arms wrapped around me. I rolled over and was face-to-face with Ban, my cheeky little fox. I smiled slightly and wriggle out of his grasp, making sure not to wake him up while I did so.
I made my way quietly downstairs, where Meliodas, Elizabeth, and Hawk were eating. Diane was eating, too, but she was outside. I grabbed a plate of food and went out to keep her company.
"Morning, Dia." I yawned as I walked outside and sat down on the grass in front of her.
"Hey, Ar. How'd you sleep?" She asked. I yawned.
"Ban kept rolling over and snoring in my ear. But once I fell asleep, I slept like a rock." I said in between mouthfuls of food. "What 'bout you?"
"Eh. Fine. The ground is not vey comfortable, but I'm used to it after so many years." Diane smiled. I finished my food and put the plate beside me."I'm going to go in and see where we're heading. Then I'll come back out to keep you company. I promise." I told Diane as I stood and walked inside.
"Captain! Where're we heading next?" I asked him as I stretched. I put the empty plate on a table.
"Necropolis. To go check if King is really there or not." Meliodas said.
"Eh? But I though you said King was dead..." I looked over and saw Ban walking down the stairs. I waved at him and he wave back.
"Well. Gilthunder might've lied. And it's the only lead we have right now." Meliodas told us. I nodded.
"Ok, that makes sense." I hummed."Umm...what kind of place is the Necropolis?" Elizabeth asked. Meliodas and I shrugged.
"Dunno. All I know is that it exists." Meliodas sighed."If it's called he Necropolis, it's got to be haunted, right? With it being foggy and dark, even in the middle of the day, with graves all lined up in a row..." Hawk shuddered. Elizabeth looked uneasy.
"There won't be any bugs there, right?" Diane asked, peeking through the window."Wait! If King's there, will he even be alive?!" Hawk gasped. Elizabeth squealed and shook her head.
"Hawk, cut it out!" Elizabeth pleaded.
"Ghosts, huh?" Meliodas mumbled to himself. I looked over at Ban, who had fallen back asleep. I chuckled softly.~~Time Skip~~
Arden's P.O.V.
"We're here!" Meliodas clapped his hands together happily. I looked around.
"This is the Necropolis?" Diane asked, as she looked around the town.
Wow. This place is a dump.
All the houses were run down, vines ran up the walls, the windows and most of the roofs were cracked and etc.."How can they call this rundown hamlet a city?" Hawk snorted.
"According to rumour, this is the closet place to be Necropolis. We'll start by gathering information on King and the Necropolis." Meliodas smiled. "And we also need money to feed ourselves.""Are you seriously going to run the bar, captain?" Ban smiled, an amused smirk on his face.
"He's cute when he's working!" Diane giggled to herself and played with her hair.
"You guys are going to work, too!" Meliodas told us, putting his hands on his hips. I giggled softly."You're going to attract us some customary, giant billboard girl!" Meliodas pointed at Diane. Then e pointed to Ban. "And you're the only one who can cook something edible, so you're in charge of cooking!" Then he pointed at me and I sighed. "Little badger, you are going to be waitressing. Hawk is obviously on Scraps Disposal duty. And I'm at the bar." Meliodas finished assigning everyone jobs. Except Elizabeth.
