Chapter 14
AlanArden's P.O.V.
Two weeks had passed since Vaizel. We didn't do anything exciting or anything big. We just went to small towns to try and gather information and get money from the tavern. But we got nothing.
It was just now that we were walking into a new town. We stopped and Hawk's mom began to burrow herself. Diane, the captain, Hawk, Elizabeth, and I were outside as she did so. It was pretty fun, to be honest. Just...sinking slowly to the ground. Ban and King were inside, still sleeping. Also, my concussion is gone now. That was probably the most important thing.
"Captain, is this good?" Diane asked as she set up a sign. Meliodas nodded. "Mmhmm!" He hummed with a smile.
"Diane, why don't you rest for a bit? You just be tired." Elizabeth spoke up. As if on cue, Diane yawned. She smiled at Elizabeth and nodded.
"Yeah...I'm gonna nap until the tavern opens, then. Good night!" Diane hummed as she laid down on the grounds, closing her eyes. As soon as she got comfortable, she fell asleep. The captain, Elizabeth, Hawk, and I went back inside.
"Alright! Why don't we get ready to open the tavern?" Meliodas smiled. Elizabeth and I nodded and Hawk just looked bored.
"Us guys will handle the cooking and the food," Meliodas gestured upstairs to where King and Ban were still sleeping. We could hear Ban's snores from down here. "Elizabeth, Arden, I want you two to go out there and advertise. And try and get some herbs while your there, mmk?"Elizabeth and I nodded, smiling at each other. Hawk looked doubtful and looked like he wanted to say something.
"What's bother you, Hawk? You look like you have something to say." I asked him. Hawk frowned.
"Well...it's just...is it ok for you two to go out?" Hawk asked.
"We can handle simple shopping!" Elizabeth defended herself. Hawk sighed.
"That's not what I meant. Arden just got over a concussion and the holy knights are looking for Elizabeth, and Arden and the rest of us, too, since Vaizel." Hawk snorted. "Wouldn't it be better for them to stay here?"Huh. He has a point, I guess. But I'm fine now. Just restless from being cooped up inside for so long.
"Keeping them cooped up in here will only dampen their spirits. And I know Arden will just sneak out anyways, even if I told her to stay here." Meliodas rolled his eyes. I smiled.
"You know me so well." I giggled.
"I do. And besides, if they do come across any holy knights, that's what Arden is here for." Meliodas shrugged. "Yeah, but still..." Hawk trailed off. "Hawk," I spoke up. "If it makes you feel better, you can come with us. And we can wear disguises." I smiled."Ahh! Good idea, Arden!" Elizabeth smiled. And Hawk looked satisfied. "Need help getting dressed?" Meliodas wriggled his eyebrows. Elizabeth blushed and so did I. But then I lunged forwards and slapped him, leaving my hand print on his cheek.
"Arden!" Elizabeth squealed. I let out an annoyed huff.
"You can't let him say (or do) things like that, Ellie!" I rolled my eyes.
"You said it, Arden!" Hawk snorted in approval. Elizabeth sighed.Meliodas glared at me, but then he smiled, showing he didn't mean it.
"Come on then, let's get dressed." Meliodas began tugging off Elizabeth's shirt. Elizabeth did nothing but squeal and blush. I lunged at him, but he dodged.
"Go wake up Ban and King before I kill you!" I lunged forwards again. Meliodas laughed nervously, dodged, (again), and ran upstairs. I grabbed Elizabeth's hand and pulled her to the back of the bar, where the spare outfits were. But there were also things here like sweaters and jackets and there was a shawl, too.

The Eighth Sin
AdventureAhh. I suck at descriptions. But I'll give it a go, why not. We all know the main gang. Meliodas, Elizabeth, Hawk, Diane, King, Ban, Gowther, Merlin, and Escanor. But in this story, there's an eighth sin. The badger sin of vengeance. And the person...
