A GLITCH IN TIME
Summary: There were two types of smiles: a faltering one, and a naïve one. The faltering one hated the ticking of the clock. The naïve one wandered around without a clue, without a hint, without any kind of knowledge. His hand would clutch onto the hem of his shirt. Sadly, it was all he could do.

There was going to be that day. There was going to be that day. That day.
Luhan knew. He knew that day, yet, his mind forced itself to erase the thoughts of that day. Instead, it was filled with nothing but false, desperate hope with the image of a beaten, stitched up heart. Luhan knew. He knew.
His finger played gracefully with the brown hair that he loved touching so. The smell was intoxicating. Alluring. Seductive. It was a smell that belonged to only one person. That one person that meant the world to him. That one person that was a strikingly similar to a god, as he was simply divine and carefully crafted by the hands of an angel. He planted a kiss on said god’s scalp, inhaling the heavenly scent that fluttered his heart.
The boy whose head was comfortably resting on the latter’s lap let out a chuckle, voice deep that had such texture that made it one in a million. The boy whose hair was chocolate brown and eyes as black as the night sky, hollow and seemingly soulless, yet filled with such powerful emotion that even Luhan couldn’t explain. Love, he knew. It was love, kindness, sincerity, grace. Worry, passion, generosity.
Each day Sehun managed to make Luhan wonder. Wonder how a boy could have such looks, switching from an icy glare to a warm, serene smile. Each day, he baffled him.
“I’ll always be with you,” Luhan whispered. Sehun smiled, hand caressing his cheek oh so carefully – almost as if he was afraid to break the already mentally fragile boy. Sehun knew. Sehun knew at least that.
It was spring. It was that time where love would sprout left and right. It was that time where flowers would bloom beautifully, birds singing their songs and grass would turn greener than before. It was that time where the cherry blossoms would bloom, drawing tons of couples towards them like a magnet, wanting them to enjoy the romantic vibe that they emitted.
However, there was this spot. There was this spot that grew a lone, abandoned cherry blossom tree. It was right behind their little house in the woods. Why would you live in such an abandoned home?, people would ask Luhan. Luhan would smile, saying: It’s quaint. It’s lovely. It’s Sehun’s.
Thus, they went to the cherry blossom whose grace was only for their eyes. Sehun intertwined his fingers with Luhan’s, showing him a shy and loveable smile; the smile that the other loved so.
“I love you,” he said. Luhan blushed. “With all my heart.”
"I love you too," Sehun muttered, planting a kiss on his forehead. "With all my heart."
It was that time again, when Sehun was feeling that suffocating feeling in his chest. His breathing hitched, gasping for air while droplets of sweat trailed down from his temple towards his chin. It was those times in which Luhan would panic and was at the verge of tears, calling the hospital immediately after each time it happened, each time getting worse and worse.
It hurt him even more that whenever Sehun fainted, he had no knowledge of what happened before. Almost as if he suffered from a very minor amnesia, yet Luhan never dared to tell Sehun. He’d always put on his practiced smile, saying: You were just here for a check-up. They had temporarily put you to sleep, that’s all.
