AGAIN AND AGAIN

Summary: Sehun helps Luhan remember, again and again.

//

Sehun absentmindedly tugs at the hem of his shirt as he scours Apgujeong for something interesting to do. Nothing appeals to him, though, as he looks into boutiques and cafés that he feels too lonely to step into. After getting blown off by Jongin, he really doesn’t know how to occupy his FREE time.

He sighs and buries his hands in his pockets, hoping the afternoon heat won’t scorch him to death. He observes the busy people walking by in groups and wonders how a person as LONELY as him ended up here.

The cold metal of his phone resting in his pocket grazes his fingers, and he contemplates whether to INVITEsomeone else out. Maybe he could actually get something done with company instead of going in circles.

He pulls his phone out and scans through his contact list, half of which he eliminates because he just can’t stand their company. He narrows the possible CANDIDATES down to five, and before he could click the dial button, he carelessly bumps into someone taking polaroid photos.

“Sorry,” Sehun apologizes, bowing down although it really isn’t necessary.

The person he bumped into turns toward him and smiles kindly. “It’s okay,” He replies, tilting his head to a side. He lifts up the polaroid camera and takes a shot of Sehun’s face.

Sehun, a little too shocked to open his mouth, adjusts the cap on his head, eyeing the stranger suspiciously.

“I like taking pictures of people I meet,” The stranger explains, taking the developing film and fanning it against his face to see the processing photo. “I don’t want to forget.”

Sehun finds this interesting, yet queer. Why take pictures of strangers when you weren’t sure you’d even meet again? “I’m Sehun,” He doesn’t know why he INTRODUCES himself, but he does. He slips his phone back into his pocket.

The stranger smiles, crinkles forming in the edges of his eyes. “Luhan,” He replies, taking a look at the polaroid photo of Sehun he snapped earlier. “You have a very photogenic face, Sehun.”

Noting the lack of ‘-sshi’ in Luhan’s compliment, Sehun smiles back, happy to drop all formalities. He isn’t one for them, and it ticks his elders off. Luhan doesn’t look older than him, anyway, so he guesses it doesn’t matter.

“Could I snap another one?” Luhan asks, already lifting his camera, signifying that he’d still take another even if Sehun said no.

Sehun nods, flattening his sideburns and glancing cautiously at the people passing them who were eyeing him oddly. He proceeds to smiling, and instinctively posing with a peace sign.

A flash. Luhan then breaks into another beam graciously. “THANK you,” He says, slipping the previous polaroid into his pocket. He fans this one against his face, too, and takes out a Sharpie. “Can I get your number?”

Taken aback at the sudden question, Sehun nods meekly, and writes down his number on the back of the polaroid although the picture hasn’t processed fully yet.

After receiving his number, Luhan just smiles, bows and leaves.

Sehun doesn’t know why, but he smiles back, and just seconds after Luhan left, realizes he forgot to get Luhan’s number. He buries his hands in his pockets once more, and decides he’ll just leave Apgujeong.

There’s just too much happening around him, but he doesn’t have anyone to spend time with.
