Chapter 6- The Champion

JW's pov

Well folks we are back here on championship sunday we had JB Mauney with the win in the 15 15 bucking battle he leads the event with first will he be continuing that streak tonight and make his first event back one to remember he also has new found love intrest by his side this weekend Maci Eldred Brennon Eldred's sister while we are on the topic of him lets talk about his ride yesterday he was on top of his game and had a great day in 3rd to start off the day.  

JB's pov

I was going into tonight seated first i had a come back that i was hoping for after last night i didn't know where things with Maci stood we both admitted we had feelings but i didn't act on them and neither did she, we were like together but not together it was weird but at the same time better than nothing. I walked into the locker room to see Cooper and Jess talking i was still annoyed with even seeing Cooper after hearing everything he has done i walked over to a locker and set my stuff in it Maci knocked on the locker room door and wanted me to come out to talk to her she said hi i just wanted to see you before you went on because i like you. I smiled and said oh is that why. Bella was standing there waiting for me to pick her up and and give her a hug i eventually did it was almost time for the riders meeting so i planted a small kiss on Maci's cheek and i was off to to go to the meeting. I left with a huge smile on my face and saw Cooper watching the whole thing i stood beside Brennon and he smiled and said hey take it easy on my sister its gross seeing you two together. I just chuckled at his response and crossed my arms it was time to get game day ready. We heard from the head of PBR about this and that and then it was time to go i drew Red Bandana he was a tough little bull but i kept the faith of the day. I was seated to ride last since i was in first. I waited and watch the other riders and helped out behind the scenes i would make eye contact with Maci every know and then she was to busy playing with Bella and talking to her family to notice it most times but when she did she would stick her tongue out at me. I was so happy that she was here sharing this moment with me. I was finally on deck to ride. I got my rope and got ready i looped my rope and lowered down onto the bull, he was sitting just right and I i knew i had a good position so i nodded quick. The chute gates busted open and I flew out of the gates. It was a simpler ride he wasn't changing direction all the much he was right into my hand tho so i fought to stay on towards the end of the ride i he got rowdy but i made it threw but had a tough landing to get off i flew and hit the ground hard thinking i broke or bruised a rib i got up in pain to find out that i had a 90 point ride.

Maci's pov

JB made a 8 seconds ride but took a while to get up he was gritting his teeth when he sat up and i could tell he was hurting and i was worried but he had a 90 point ride i was so proud. He took the win for the whole weekend with that ride it was awesome for him to come back like that. Bella was cheering even thought she didn't really know what was going on. 

JB's pov

I walked up on top of the shark cage and in pain but i had something i wanted to do. I went up there to accept the buckle and give my little speech i want to thank my sponsors and my family and my girls and i pointed at Bella and Maci. I have some one here that needs to know something Maci i like you like a lot you have brought me out of this funk i was in and i cannot thank you enough so will you be my girl? 

Maci's pov

JB took the stage i snapped some pictures of him and recorded his speech next thing i heard was "so Maci will you be my girl?" i dropped my phone and he said Maci will you please come on stage i was still in shock and i didn't move my mom said Maci go up there my legs we were i tried to walk but i couldn't i finally got the strength to walk down to the cage everyone was cheering i felt like i could throw up tho i made it stage and JB threw his arm around me and said so what do ya say i looked up at him and smiled and said yes i would be honored i caught eyes with Cooper and he turned away looking hurt but now he knows how i felt when i had to see him propose to his girl. I was so happy but hurt at the same time. I was happy to be with JB but hurt that Cooper was going to make a big deal over this like that. I walked over to Bella and my family and JB and Brennon soon joined us. Brennon spoke up and said this is gonna take some getting used to thats for sure. I laughed and said yeah it might. JB walked back to the locker room i followed him back there and Bella and i sat outside of it waiting for him to get changed and packed up. Cooper walked out and gave me a faint smile and said so you've finally moved all the way one i just shrugged my shoulders. I didn't want to have to have this conversation with you honestly i said it doesn't matter what i am doing i am happy now. You left me broken and now i am finally ready to be happy. Just them JB walked out of the locker room and looked my way and walked over there and Cooper left. He said what did he want i just rolled my eyes and said he was tryna make me feel like shit because i finally moved on but i won't because i like you and i hate him.
