Chapter 8- You get the best of me

Maci's pov

It was now friday which met it was time to travel onto to Utah for this weekends event I was really happy to be traveling with JB and Bella i walked downstairs to see that Bella was awake but JB was still asleep whenever i left our room... our room i liked how that sounded i smiled and walked over to Bella to see what she wanted for breakfast after a few minutes of standing there not knowing what she wanted she chose Tim Hortons but i said i would only take her if she helped with chores real fast. We went out and did chores and came back to grab the keys to my jeep. We hopped in and were off we ordered and made it back home to see a now awake JB getting ready to go do chores i smiled and said the girls took care of chores this morning he kissed my cheek and said thats why i like you and keep you around i rolled my eyes and set the box of doughnuts on the counter. JB goes you even got doughnuts you are the bomb he threw this arm around me i looked up at him and smiled. I picked Bella up and went to her room to pack her bags for this weekend we had to plan what outfits we wanted to twin with each other on. Next we went to my room and went through my closet to get some outfits Brennon had gotten her a shirt with him on it so we were both wearing that one to tonights round and putting our hair in buns because we didn't feel like doing it. i packed my JB Mauney shirt and others we walked down stairs and threw our bags into JB's truck and waited for him to come down stairs. He eventually come downstairs and we headed off to Utah for the event. We arrived around 3 and JB went to stretch i eventually found his mom in the stands and sat with her my parents joining us soon after and sadly Coopers parents sat with us they talked to me a little but eventually took the hint that i wasn't in the mood to talk to them. The event started with the 15/15 bucking battle. JB and Brennon both bucked off during that with Kaique Pacheco winning that starting off the weekend pretty good for him he was the king of winning the bucking battles. The battle was over and JB walked out a little dissapointed but it didn't mean his weekend was over. We walked out hand in hand and headed to his truck to go somewhere for dinner with some of the guys. We arrived to steak and shake and soon some of the other dudes piled in Cooper and his wife and son being one of the other couples there. they closed off the place so it was only us in there. We sat down sooper sitting to my left and JB to my right i rolled my eyes once he sat down and JB gave him the death stare he just smirked it away Brennon sat across from me so we could talk to each other easier. Bella just had to sit beside Brennon they had became friends real quick which i was happy about since i planned on staying in Bella's life she would be around my family a lot. we ordered and made small talk Bella and Mack were playing with each other while we were all talking about the event and what went wrong and right earlier that night. I felt JB slide his hand up my thigh and Cooper rolled his eyes my way he was really annoying me i dont understand why he wants to act like this right now whenever his wife is right there, who he knocked up for a second time. We eventually got our food and i made Bella and Mack sit down to eat because it was clear that Cooper wasn't going to make him. Bella said fine mom i'll eat i didn't know how to take her calling me mom if it was a mistake and she didn't mean to or if she was just joking around i was hoping she ment it though. I looked at JB and he smiled and shrugged his shoulders. Then Cooper spoke up and said you know thats not your mom right i nudged him and said are you kidding me how about you don't worry about it she isn't your kid so don't worry about what she does and he said well she isn't your kid either i was finally fed up at this point so i stood up and yelled stay the fuck out of my life please all you do is fuck it up and stormed out.

JB's pov

Maci stormed out and i ran after her we were both done with Cooper shit at this point and i knew that she couldn't handle his shit anymore but he had taken it to the max tonight. I walked around the corner to see Maci sitting on the curb seeing her sad broke my heart Cooper just needed to leave this poor girl the hell alone. I sat down beside her and threw my arm around her and said Bella ya know she asked me if she could call you mom and i told her yes because some day i was gonna make you my wife and you would be her mom. Maci looked up at me and crashed her lips into mine. She pulled away and said i love you JB. We got up and walked back in hand in hand. I pulled her chair out for her and she sat down Cooper had left while we were out there and everyone was silent then Bella spoke up and said "man that Cooper guy is an asswipe" i about sit my pants laughing until i realized what she said and said Bella you don't say that and she spits back but how come you get to say it. I laughed it off and got up to pay so we could head back to the trailer to sleep. All three of us cuddled up in my bed and went to sleep.
