Unexpected

chapter 1- The finalization

JB's pov

I woke knowing that today was the day to sign the final divorce papers to end Lexie and I's marriage we just hadn't had a spark anymore and it was useless trying to stay together and be faking it for Bella. Bella was the only thing keep me with her right now and i mean i always wanted it to be us together as a big happy family but things don't always have to work out. I finally got out of bed and changed into a decent outfit and headed out to sign over half of what i own probably.  I walked into see Bella she ran up to me and hugged my leg my mood brightened a little once i saw her Lexie came around the corner and i rolled my eyes and picked up Bella we walked into the lawyers office to sign whatever agreement they were going to offer us. I didn't really care what i had to do at this point i just wanted to be done and over with her. I sat down and Bella sat on my lap I just stared blankly at the wall until the lawyer came in. He sat down and said well Mr, Mauney the courts have over looked the case and have chosen to give you full custody of the kid as Miss Biggly here is seen as an unfit mother and they believe that you will be able to provide Bella here with a better life. I looked over at Lexie she did not say a word she knew they were right, she just shrugged her shoulders and said so i agreed to let him have the custody so i could go to rehab so will i ever be able to see her again the judge said that it was up to me. I looked over at Lexie and smiled and said judge i would like to ensure that Lexie will have to stay far far away from Bella and I, with that he shook his head and closed up the case. I took Bella's hand and we headed out to my truck to go home. I strapped her into her car seat and we were off i looked over my shoulder to see a now sleeping Bella and thought to myself what am i going to do. I know that i can and will be a good single parent to Bella but i have so much that needs to be done to turn my house into a tidy and nice home for her but it will come together in time i also need to hire a nanny because i will be on the road a lot with the begging of this season being just right around the corner i mean Bella had traveled with me before but my mom has always watched her but that isnt going to work every weekend.
