"Good morning, chingu-yah" Hyuna hugged me from the side and I let out a subtle smile
"Morning, what's for lunch today?" I asked her as we walked to the canteen
She's the typical person who knows everything but decides to keep it to herself. But, with the person she's close with, she'd tell them everything. A.k.a me.
"I heard they're serving burgers. Cold burgers, I assume. Ugh, this has been going on for a week!" She groaned and rolled her eyes
"It's okay. At least there's something to eat. And not cockroaches." I said to lighten the mood and she let out a small laugh
We took our tray and sadly, we had to take the burgers because I don't see any other foods that they're serving. We sat at a vacant table and put our tray down.
"Just as expected, cold" Hyuna said as she touched the burger and no steam went out from it.
"Let's just eat this already" I said and she nodded
But before we could take our bite, a person tapped me in the shoulder so I looked back. It was unexpectedly Choi Minah.
"Oh, hey Minah! Need anything?" I asked her and Hyuna greeted her with a smile
"No, actually... Yes. I guess. Umm, can I join you guys for lunch?" She asked as she looked nervous
We both nodded and let her join our table. She started introducing herself to Hyuna and three of us got along well. We talked about silly things and the three of us are totally relatable to such things.
"Ugh, I hate when that happens." Hyuna said
"I know right, I mean why would you put a wasabi inside a sushi?" Minah said an I can only nod in agreement
"Seems like you guys are having fun." Suddenly, two people came to our table and we raised our eyebrows
"Oh, sorry. Um, I'm Lee Yoreum and this is my boyfriend, Kang Daniel." She introduced
"You saved us at camp" Daniel said to me and I can only nod.
"Oh, of course! How's your arm, Yoreum?" I asked her
"Pretty good. Thanks to you" She said
"And how's your shoulder, Daniel?" Hyuna asked
"Oh, it's fine. Still stings a little, though." Daniel admitted
"Can we join your table?" Yoreum asked
We looked at each other and then we all nodded our heads and they all sat down beside us. We started talking about a lot of stuff. Daniel actually get along with girls well. I'm guessing that's why he became a couple with Yoreum. I mean, she is a very easygoing girl.
Having a lot of friends feels... Really nice. I finally felt this again. After years of hate. I wish he'd come back and I'd kick his ass. Maybe give him a taste of my new friends. Gosh, I can't believe my effort of helping others led to this many funny jokes and cheerful smiles. Am I gonna be like this always? Well, I hope so.
