It's scary to thinking about following coordinates from the Internet to an old place where your dad went missing.

Supposed dad.

I guess, if Alice knows what she's doing, I'll follow her.

I've never been a fan of how much belief she has in the unknown.

But as I walk in the crunchy snow side by side with Alice, I know that she's right.

"This is where his camp was." I hear my sister say.

All we can see, is a hole.

A large hole in the ice and ground.

It doesn't seem to have an end, from where it starts.

"I... Think we have to jump."

Alice concludes.

I inhale sharply.

"Maybe, it's too much? We can die right here." I try and back out of it.

"No... We've got to do this. For mom. For our future."

Before Alice can move an inch, my feet slip from under my body. I'm on my butt, trying to stop from sliding.

Of course, it doesn't work.

"ALICE!" I scream, my mouth realizing where I'm going before my head does.

I slide until the dark hole consumes me.

Before I know it, the hole ends. I'm free falling through a sky.

Sky of what?

Am I dead already?

I have no idea what is happening, until I see land.

I am heading towards another icy place.

I know I'm not dead, because as soon as I touch the ground, my leg cracks.

Pain shoots through my body.

I land close to the edge of a large icy mass. Next to the sea.

An ice berg starts to crack where I land.

I crawl my form onto the solid chunk of ice, and watch as the other piece slightly drifts away.

I'm at a loss of words for what happens next. Screaming can be heard from above me.

Alice went into the hole.

She falls and falls, until she land almost like I did. Almost.

Her form crashes against the ice berg, and the force of the free fall and gravity cause her head to hit the side of the berg.

She's out cold.

No pun intended.

"Alice." I gasp. I'm in pain. I need to find someone. Anyone.

"I'll find you, Alice. I swear." I say a little louder. The ice berg she landed on is farther out.

I can hardly move with my broken leg.

I force myself to crawl up a high hill. I keep crawling the hill.

Until I get to the other side.

A large slope.

What scares me the most is a noise that appears next to me.

A honk.
