(Chapter 12) Why, Hello.

2 updates because I haven't updated this book in like forever.

Elena's POV

"Well what are you standing there for?" Kol asked.

"Well, there's only one bed, so do you prefer the chair or the bed?" I ask back.

He started smirking, "Don't worry, I'm not gonna do anything, we can share."

I raised an eyebrow, "You mean, sleep together?"

He nodded while smiling.

Maybe I should've just chosen to stay with Caroline.

"Fine, we'll split the bed but you're on the right side and I'm on the left okay?"

"Okay with me but sooner or later, you'll have your arms wrapped around me."

I scoffed, "I don't think so."

I was wrong.

When I woke up, my arms were indeed, wrapped around him. My head was on the crook of his neck and I used him as my human teddy bear again.

I quickly pulled away and got up. Then I went to the bathroom to wash up and put a simple dress on. I think I'll make my way to the breakfast buffet.

I got out the room and entered the elevator only to question myself if I was looking at the mirror. There was a girl who looked exactly like me, sort of.

She had curly hair, a plain black top and skinny jeans with heels but her face was exactly like mine.

"Why hello Elena." she said with a smirk.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"You don't remember me? I'm your doppelgänger."

She then clicked on the stop button of the elevator but I was too curious to care.

"What? I've never seen you before."

"Oh, well I've seen you. I'm the reason for that fire last year, who do you think lit the match?"

"You killed my family?!" I almost scream.

She grinned and nodded.

"Why?! I don't even know you." I say as the tears started falling.

"Because, you were my ticket to freedom. Klaus has been looking for you way before you were even born. He's been having me hunt down for centuries by his stupid vampire and hybrid sires. When I heard about you, I just knew that he'd stop if I traded you for my freedom. That's why I burnt your place down, I had vampire ready to kidnap you then, but they lost you. This is why if you want things done right you gotta do it yourself." she said with a sigh.

"What do you want from me? Klaus is already a hybrid. He finished the ritual."

"I'm just here to pay you a visit, but don't worry, we'll meet again."

She clicked on the open button and said, "Goodbye." then disappeared.

I think when the witches were warning me, they were warning me about her.

I got out the elevator, what did she mean?
