(Chapter 15) Lost and Found

Sorry for not updating for a week but I was really busy but I finally had time to upload this chapter so I hope you like it.

Elena's POV

I looked around the bathroom for a place to hide the stake in, I found a potted plant. So, I shoved the stake behind it and decided I shouldn't keep this to myself and hide the stake forever. Klaus deserves to know.

After the dance I asked Klaus if he can meet me out on the deck at 11 and he agreed.

I was wearing a beige sweater and black shorts just sitting on one of those comfy sofas they had out on the deck. The place was decorated with many lounge chairs and because it was on top of the ship, you can see the dark at and feel the slight breeze.

A couple minutes later Klaus entered and sat on the chair in front of me.

"What did you wanna talk about?" he asked.

I gulped as slowly took out.

Klaus's POV

She took out a stake, a white oak stake.

"Where did you get that?"

"From.. Esther."

"You had a talk with my mother? She's alive?"

She shook her head, "She's dead but she spoke to me in a dream. I woke up with this in my hand but trust me I wasn't planning on using it. I threw it in the ocean but it somehow made it back to me."

I dreaded hearing my mother's name, Esther. She's been plotting on killing me but I never knew she'd stoop so low, she'd make Elena do it.

"Here." Elena says giving me the stake.

"Thanks for telling me but can you do me another favor Elena?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Don't tell anyone about this, not even Kol or Rebekah. I don't need them worrying about this. I'll just get a witch to un-spell the stake from coming back so we can burn it after we reach Mystic Falls."

She nodded, "Okay then, I should go, good night."

I gave her a faint smile, "Good night."

~ After The Cruise ~

Elena's POV

We've finally made it back home. As fun as a cruise can be that was an awful experience. Anyway, Rebekah's at the Grill checking up on everything and Kol decided to tag along for food. Klaus, however was on his way to have a witch try to fix the stake while I'm sitting on my bed squeezing the life out of Nemo.

"I missed you." I say while petting him.

He started barking at me so I decided to get him some food downstairs. I was halfway down the staircase when I was pushed toward the railing and someone held me by my neck.

"Morning, my doppelgänger." Katherine exclaimed.

"Katherine? What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Shut it bitch, I'll be asking the questions. Now, where the hell is the stake?"

"I gave it to Klaus." I answer, struggling to breath."

She squeezed my neck tighter. "You idiot. Do you know how hard it is to find white oak stakes? That's practically the last one!"
