She looked at me, her lip quivering as she apologized. "I'm sorry."
What could she possibly mean? She hadn't done anything wrong. The only person who had done something wrong was me.
And so then I spoke up, "No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I got drunk last night. I'm sorry that I asked you to make pancakes. I'm sorry that I can never protect you And most of all, more than I've ever regretted anything I'm sorry I let you go."
Then she was kissing me. Shockwaves coursed through my body.
It was the most amazing feeling in the world. I tasted her strawberry lip gloss and smiled giddily.
She still wore that.
How could I have been so stupid and let her go?
And then she pulled away and shock and regret was written all over her face.
"Can we forget that ever happened?" she asked eyes threatening to spill over.
That was the last thing I had expected her to say.
"Ally, please-" I began.
She ran her hands through her tangled and stood up, "I'm an idiot. I'm a f"""n idiot," she said her voice breaking. Her angelic face looked so troubled, so upset for god knows what reason.
