Lydia watched her parents walked upstairs to get ready for bed. It was about eleven o’clock at night, and her and her parents just finished watching a scary movie. For Lydia, it was nothing. She has seen worse in real life. She was used to it. Her parents decided to go to bed since they have work tomorrow and since it was a Friday night, Lydia made an excuse that she would stay and watch some more TV or movies. As soon as she heard her parents’ bedroom door closed, she quickly stood up from the couch and took off her robe revealing her short skirt and a button up shirt. It was her usual get up. She made her way to the kitchen and grabbed her purse that was sitting on the table. Lydia made her way back to the living room and towards the front door. By the time she finished putting on her shoes, her phone vibrated and he was in a perfect timing.

Lydia unlocked the door and quietly stepped outside the house, making sure she wouldn’t wake up her parents. She smiled brightly as she sees him in his car with still his uniform on. She ran towards the car and got inside on the passenger seat. The couple have been together for two months already and ever since, they have been sneaking out every night and just drive around town or drive to the other side of town. They have been hiding their relationship and sometimes, her friends were suspicious about it because she kept bringing him up in their conversations. Malia definitely was suspecting something, but Lydia just ignored it and sticked with the plan.

“Hey.” Parrish gave her his beautiful smile that makes her melt. “Sorry, I worked overtime.” He added.

Lydia didn’t took another second before grabbing him by his collar and crashed her lips to his. She heard Parrish laughed softly through the kiss before kissing her back deeply, brushing her cheek gently with his thumb.

“Did you eat yet?” Lydia asked, pulling away.

Parrish shook his head as he drove away from the house.

“No, I was thinking we could burgers, but we should go to the other side of the town. It is a lot emptier there.”

Lydia leaned back to her seat and smiled, “Wherever. As long as I could have you to myself.”

She could see Parrish smiling at the corner of her eye, while he looked down at the dark road and drove towards the highway.

Lydia frowned as the time passed. She was getting bored and they were about ten more minutes away.

“Are you tired?” Parrish asked. “You could have told me. We should have not went out tonight.”

Lydia couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Parrish was too caring for her, and she was not used to it. Usually, her old boyfriends doesn’t really do that.

“No. I’m just bored.” She said, leaning towards him and brushing her finger up and down his arm. Parrish shifted slightly from his seat. He knew what she was doing and if she doesn’t stop this, he would need to park the car to the side. He swallowed as  she kissed his cheek.

“Lyds, we are ten minutes away. Behave, please.” He said, shaking his head trying to get the inappropriate thoughts off of his mind.

Lydia giggled softly as she leaned back to her seat and looked out the window. Parrish glanced towards her before taking her hand in his and planted a kiss on it. Lydia couldn’t help but smile and squeezed his hand lightly.

After ten minutes, they finally got to the burger joint and ordered some food before driving towards an abandoned store parking lot. The surroundings were empty and dark and it wouldn’t be more perfect for Lydia. They sat inside the car and ate, while the music was playing from the radio. Lydia couldn’t help but watch Parrish ate his burger. She watched the way he chewed the food and smiled as she studied his lips. Gosh, if only he would eat faster. She thought. Lydia quickly ate her burger and fries and drank her soda. She couldn’t help but thought about all of this. As much as she wanted to tell the world about their relationship, she was a bit glad that no one knows. At least, no one could criticize their relationship or anyone getting in the way of it.

Lydia smiled and listened as Parrish talked about his work and how they had a new murder case and it seems to be too complicated this time to solved it.

“I’m sure you will solve it soon enough.” Lydia gave him an encouraging smile. Parrish looked down at her, smiling slightly. He still couldn’t believed that this girl was his girlfriend. It was wrong but it felt so right to him. Everytime he was with her, everything was perfect. He leaned down towards her and kissed her passionately. Lydia smiled through the kiss as she kissed him back passionately. He felt her moved from her seat and sat on his lap without breaking the kiss. He wrapped his arms around her waist as she ran her fingers through his hair. His heart was beating so fast that he was afraid she would hear it. He kissed her deeply desperate for more as Lydia closed the space between them. Parrish’s hands ran up her sides and his fingers starts to tangled through her hair. Lydia moved her hands down to his chest as she started unbuttoning his uniform.

“Lyds…” Parrish mumbled through the kiss, pulling away slowly.

Lydia looked at him confused. She thought he wanted the same too.

“Look, I’m sorry. Just not right now.” Parrish brushed her cheek gently, “Not until you’re eighteen.”

Lydia sighed, nodding her head. “Fine. You promise that okay?”

Parrish chuckled, pecking her on the lips. “ I promise.”

Lydia smiled brightly, leaning down to kiss him before pulling away and start buttoning up his shirt again.

“Let’s go home. It’s getting really late.” Parrish said.

Lydia moved back to the passenger seat as Parrish started driving home. Lydia took his hand in hers as she leaned back in the seat and closed her eyes. Just a few more months. Lydia told herself. Just a few more months until she eighteen. Just a few more until they could reveal their secret.
