The bell rings, and the end of the day couldn't come around sooner. I come out of the front gates of the school, and see a black Mercedes parked on the other side of the road. I rang my dad at lunch and asked if I could be picked up after school, instead of getting the bus. After the day I've had I felt it best, especially after the confrontation with the group in tutor and then finding out my best friend is dating my worst enemy, and finding out that the whole group knew and didn't tell me. I decided to skip lunch with them all, spending my breaks in the fashion room, an easy hideout which would of been easy for the group to find me, however only fashion students are allowed in the fashion room. I decided that I would feel sorry for myself and just vent out my anger on the sewing machines. The gang constantly rang my phone, or texting me asking me where I was. It didn't help ignoring them because I have the majority of my classes with them, making it slightly awkward.

I ran across the road, running onto the other side of the car and jumping in.

"Hey darling" My dad says as I put my seatbelt on, he begins driving.

"How was your first day back at school?" He asks.

"Yeah it was ok thanks." I reply.

"Just ok?" He asks again.

He looks at me and I just nod.

He raises he's eyebrows. "Look kiddo, we talked about this, how do me and mum know if somethings wrong, if you won't talk to us?" He says again.

I roll my eyes and sigh.

I begin to speak. "Well Kit, shouted at me this morning. Just about last year and me leaving and coming back and expecting everything to be normal. And nobody defended me and just stood there. Theres this new boy Zac that is a dick and just cocky and annoying. And then I find out that Jett is dating Molly and nobody told me, and then Jude had a go at me and told me that not every things about me, and got up from he's seat and sat somewhere else." I exclaim. As I said all of that, I realised how much of a brat I was being, Jude was right not everything is about me, shocking but its the truth.

My dad looks at me shocked.

"Well.."He begins to speak, taking a short pause.

"I can understand why they are angry, or annoyed or upset with you. You have to understand that unintentionally Sliver, you caused a lot of people problems." He paused again. Great here comes the guilt trip.

"You had us all really worried, and people were stretched with there limits with you all the time. No one knew where you were or what you were doing. It was a struggle for me and mum and your friends."

As he speaks I look out the window.

"Its gonna take some time, to win them over, but don't loose hope. As for Jett, he's girlfriend Molly you say? What Molly Farnham?".

"Yes." I whisper.

"I thought so, gosh now that I don't understand, especially what she did to you, she's just as sly as her father, why would Jett do that to you?" He begins to shout.

I carry on looking out the window, I have no idea dad thats exactly what I can't understand.

"Well dad, we're not exactly friends but she really didn't do anything dad I.." My sentence is cut off.

"Don't try and defend her Sliver.."He trails off, he's sentence is also cut off, as he's phone begins to ring, my dad presses the answer button. The caller comes up on the sat nav screen of the car, 'Roux Oil'. (Roux, pronounced as Roox)

"Dave your on loud speaker, my daughter is also in the car, what is it I'm driving?" My dad shouts. Roux Oil is an oil company my dad does business for, he's a big shot business manager for different companies, this being one of them. Roux Oil, is he's biggest client.

"Don't use that tone with me Harry, it's urgent, I need you in London by tomorrow morning for a meeting at 8:00am, theres been standard I.D.10T error, along with a problem with the B-KAC system, in other terms the chickens been burnt".

My dad tenses and I can see a distressed look on he's face, what the fuck does that mean? 'The chicken has been burnt' It sounds like some drug term or something, I try not to laugh, I look at my fathers face and suppress my laughters, this looks serious.

"I understand, I will be on the next train into London within the next few hours" Before he can finish the phone call ends. My dad picks up he's speed, I grab onto the handle of the door.

"Are you ok dad, what does that mean?" I ask.

"Nothing to worry about darling, just some business propositions, I'll drop you home, tell your mum what you've just heard on the phone, I need to drive to the office and should be back within 20 minutes, get mum to pack our stuff, I think me and mum should be home in a couple of weeks." Great home alone again.

I look at he's face, he's lying but I don't know what about. Whatever it is, I'm not going to snoop as bad as it sounds, this problem probably isn't even that bad and I'm over reacting.
