Chapter Four

I stepped outside my tutor room with Jett and Jude and begin walking to our first class Biology. I followed Jett and Jude keeping a distance. I felt someones hand grab my shoulder and I quickly turned around, bumping into someones solid chest, I looked up only to stare into dark brown eyes, I instantly realised it was Zac and begun to push myself away. 

"Easy there sassy, your really giving me mixed signals here" He laughed. I turned around giving him a disgusted look and begun to walk away. As I carried on walking I heard he's foot steps behind me. 

"Hey" He shouted.

He caught up with me, for goodness sake what does he want?

"Look i'm a little lost around here, and I know we haven't got off the best start, but your the only person that I have spoken to, and I was wondering if you could help me find my next class." I looked up at him, and if I was correct he looked a little nervous, I couldn't say no, I mean he's a dick but, he was gorgeous, thats not a valid point, but just staring at him, I could see how girls would fall at he's feet. I'm only going to help him this once. Other than I'm not going to fall for he's boyish charms, I just need to get through this year without any drama.

"Ok whatever" I exclaim. He's face brightens into a smile. I roll my eyes.

"Whats your next class" I ask. 

"Ermmm...hold on let me just look" He pulls out he's timetable. "Biology with Mr Peterson." He says.

I begin walking. "Follow me."

I begin walking at a quick pace, not looking to see if was following me.

"Sorry to ask, I know its annoying, you don't have to get to the other side of the school do you?" He says breathless. I don't know why he's being so polite, I can tell by the tone of he's voice, that this was extremely uncharacteristic of him.

"No, your in the same class as me." I say bluntly. 

I look at him and he smiles. I almost find him repulsive, but still attractive and it's seriously annoying me.

"Look, it looks like we're gonna be spending a fair amount of time with each other this year, and so far you have been a dick, cocky, charming and polite all within the space of half an hour, and to be honest I can't be arsed to deal with your shit, sounds harsh I know. So lets just leave at that ok? Sorry for being rude to you in tutor, I shall try and stay out of your hair, does that sound ok?" I forcefully say staring at him intensely. 

He jolts he's head back in shock, and raised one eyebrow. 

"Wow your intense and cold, but quite shockingly blunt, I'm kind of digging it" He smiles, and I just sigh. 

I begin to speak "Look Zain". 

"Its Zac." He looks offended, good I've struck a cord. 

"Zain, Zac whatever. I know your type, and all of the tricks that follow and I'm not falling for it, now just follow, me I don't want to be late." And with that I storm off and make my way to biology. 

I enter the classroom people still filing in, I spot Jude on the right hand side at the back of the classroom, taking a b line for the empty space next to him. I quickly sit down, taking out my pencil case and exercise book, and thumping my canvas bag onto the floor. I look up to my right expecting to see Jett sat next to me, only to see Zac sat there. I look at Jude and he says nothing. 

"Erm Zac can you move, that seats for Jett" I say.

Zac replies. "Are you sure, because your friend seems to be cosied up to that girl over there?" He exclaims. 

Within a couple of seconds, my heart dropped and I could feel it beating furiously. I turn my head so quickly I'm surprised I didn't give myself whip lash. Over on the far side of the classroom is Jett, laughing and sitting in close proximity of my worst nightmare, and enemy, Molly Farnham. My heart feels like it's going to explode. She looks at me and smiles, as she does she plants a kiss on Jett's cheek, as she does this Jett grabs her face, planting he's lips on hers, kissing her passionately. 

I turn to look at Jude. He's face emotionless. I feel betrayed. By both of them. 

"What. The. Fuck. Is. Going. On?" I spit. 

I see Jude swallow. This should be good.

"Look, we were going to tell you. Honestly we were, we were going to tell you at lunch, but some students this year have been mixed up in classes, and as me and Jett walked in Molly was here, and its looks like she's been transferred, hence the whole reveal." I can see the guilt in he's face. Good I hope he feels guilty. 

"How long?" I say.

"How long what?" Jude replies.

"Just answer the fucking question". I spit, I clench my hands, trying to control my anger. 

"Since the beginning of summer, about a week after you left. They starting working together in the sweet shop in the village, and things went on from there." He exclaims. 

"What and no one decided to tell me this in the letters sent over the summer?" I ask.

"We felt that it was better to tell you in person." he uttered. 

"Your meant to be my best friend Jude, why would you keep this from me?" I say, he doesn't reply. 

"Why would Jett do this to me, he knows how much we hate each other, I'm not surprised if Molly's doing this on purpose." I sighed. 

Jude begins to speak. "You know Silver, not everything's about you."

As he says this our teacher walks in. "Good morning class, settle down now, lets begin todays lesson".

I hardly have time to process what Jude has just said. As the teacher begins to speak, Jude gets up and sits on another table. 

I watch him, as I do I look over and Jett is staring at me, he's face plain, he quickly looks away blushing. I turn my head, and feel someone staring at me, I look to my right and Zac stares and me, he tilts he's head and mouths "you alright babe?". I just blankly stare and him. I turn my head not replying and begin to focus on the lesson.

What the fuck is going on?
