Hila led the brothers out towards the fields. He had a horrible and treacherous plan in store. He was ordered by Msaliti to commit treason. Hila knew he could become king if he did that one act that would change the entire plains.
Hila led his brothers towards the fields and let out a roar. It is illegal in lion standards for a juvenile male lion to roar. That one sound meant that he was the new king. He and his brothers knew the consequences for there treason. The roars didn't stop.
The message was heard loud and clear. Hila and his brothers were asking for war. A civil war would erupt in the plains today. Msaliti led a revolt against my rule. Msaliti rallied the exiled queens. A group of lionesses ,banished from the pride for there acts of treason.
She had an army and a motivation. She mounted an elevated rock and began her speech. "Why do we sit idle while our new 'king' does nothing! We are the real leaders of this pride! He kills our children! He believes that we are inferior! WE WILL FIGHT THIS DAY!!!!!"
I turned to Haki who gave me a worried look. "This is a bad situation for you to be in sire. Evacuate the marsh before you are killed." I turned to Haki and spoke. "Haki, we will fight today, and if we are defeated we must run. Rally Mthunzi and her hunters."
Haki carried out my orders successfully. But then the luck turned to Msaliti. Msaliti and her army attacked me ruthlessly. I fought them, I exerted all the power in my body to protect myself. If Msaliti won this battle she would kill my cubs.
I summoned for Mthunzi to help. My Jackal assistant Hekima, Msaliti killed him. Msaliti killed many lionesses that day. We lost many cubs in that battle, Hila was in the front with his brothers by his side. He was not afraid of what may become of him in the end. He looked into my eyes and said "Forgive me."
Msaliti mocked me mercilessly. After a long day of fighting my army had to retreat. A massive retreatment, with every lion for themselves. I retreated towards the marshes with Msaliti's army following. Assassins were sent out to find any survivors of the battle. Hila took control of the kingdom and a disastrous error began.
