Newt was sent to the maze with his younger sister, Audrey, when he was 16 and she was 15. He wants to protect her but she knows she can handle herself. Since Audrey is the only girl she had learned to cope with living with the boys. After 2 years in the glade some of the boys became her enemies. Newts needs to protect her now more than ever. When Thomas comes up in The Box it begins to get harder to keep her safe when the way out of the maze is so dangerous
