It was cold.

And dark.

And I was left alone. Only my thoughts were there to occupy me.

My thumb pressed against the smooth, heavy handle in my secret pocket of my pants. Rubbing the smooth metal eased part of the rapidly beating panic in my chest. It was my connection to the boys.

Would they even come for me? I know Tyler and Evan, and a few others like Terrorizor and Marcel were less than happy about me joining. Wouldn't they convince Delirious that I wasn't needed to the team? Would they see how weak and worthless I was, like everyone else did?

Biting back my lip, I rub the tears into my eyes to avoid sobbing as my arms shake.

Delirious said that I'd never have to feel that way again. I belonged.

Pinching my arm helped take my mind away from that. I need to accept them.

Trust.

Tyler calls it trust.

I have to trust them.

Light streamed underneath the door, but it was gray, and made me think of it being night time.

The pressure against my back was a wall, and if I shuffled slightly to the left or the right, I bumped into another. I already pushed through the throbbing in my legs and arms, and felt on the door where the light streamed through, and found a locked handle.

Was I in a small room?"

I plopped all the way back farthest from the door. Pulling my knees up to my chest, I lay my cheek against my knee. My mind was flashing back to a time that made my skin tingle unpleasantly.

Blocking that from my mind, I imagined the steel blue eyes that saved me.

Delirious, will you save me again?

(Del POV)

Trudging through the house, it was 8:30. That was not a clean fucking snuff. It wasn't even a goose chase, or a game of cat and mouse. It was just fucking waiting.

With a sigh, I go to look for (y/n). Luke's car was here, so I knew they were back.

The house was oddly quiet, though. No one was creeping around.

Huh.

With a shrug, I wonder towards the detail room. A gut feeling was driving my feet towards it.

The door was cracked, and I could immediately hear voices in there. They were fighting over something.

I was just going to walk past, but then I heard something that made my eyes scrunch in confusion.

"We can't tell Delirious!" Someone yelled.

With a shrug, I push the door open, leaning on the frame. I let my tone drip steely. "Tell me what?"

Everyone turned to look at me. It was silent.

My eyes scanned the room, everything looking normal until my gaze landed on two huddled in chairs. I saw Luke and Ohm, barely sitting in chairs by themselves, bandaged and bruised. Ohm winced as Moo applied an ice pack to his swollen face.

A frigid confusion filled my stomach as my brain connected dots. If those two were here, bruised and bandaged, then...

"Where's (y/n)?"

(Your POV)

My eyes were closed, trying to keep the conjured picture of Delirious fresh to keep my shaking arms to a minimum.
