This is Kyra but I pictured her to be younger although this girl is pretty young already. Kyra's 16 with hazel eyes, tan skin and long, chocolate hair. Hope you enjoy this chapter!

"Hell. We're in Hell. And not figuratively." Without warning my hands start shaking so I rest them in my pockets as I let Coen continue explaining.

"I need to finish explaining everything before we leave, so you can meet your mother. I suggest we go back into the cave." I follow him immediately, not wanting to be left alone in Hell of all places.

"Sit down and we'll finish our chat," Cone says dismissively, taking a seat himself.

"So... What does a demon do?" I say as a result of my courage finally coming back.

"Well, firstly I want you to know that I wasn't born or signed up to be a demon. I never wanted to work for your mother, no offense." I just shook my head.

"I became a demon", he continues, "after I was murdered in my human life, I died at 5. Your mother gave me a second chance to live. This is my original body (I'm not one of those 1000-year-old guys who looks 17) I kept growing up just like you plus have magical powers, which by the way, you will soon find out that you have some too."

I look down at my hands half hoping for something magical to happen but nothing does. This explains some of the strange things that happened before. Coen quietly laughs at me before continuing.

"Nothing will happen now because you aren't trained to take control of them. Has anything strange happened lately?" Coen asks hopefully while sneaking a quick glance in my direction.

"Does making the teacher suddenly quiet while yelling at me for not listening in class count?" I ask hopefully as Coen smirks at me.

"I bet they were saying something really boring, sounds like something I would do though." I can tell he's trying really hard not to laugh and keep serious but it doesn't work too well.

He bursts out laughing partly because of the confusion on my face as well as what I just said. His beautiful eyes are fully closed and his sand coloured, voluminous hair bouncing slightly as he laughed. I couldn't help but laugh at him too, this guy is rising the happy energy in this place too easily. His pearly whites were still on show as I continued speaking about my strange experiences.

"When I said the teacher went suddenly quiet, it was because something invisible was choking her." I finish.

Meanwhile, Coen stopped laughing so quickly it caused him to laugh even more (something I do too often to not be ashamed of). Is this guy really a demon? He doesn't seem dark enough to be (not anything racist of course). I just stare at him half smiling, trying to look unimpressed. When he stops laughing he sees my face and tells me to continue telling him about any other strange experiences I've had.

"There hasn't been many others except for when the whole lake froze over when my Dad and I were in an argument." The thought of my Dad started to make me feel sick because I still didn't know if he was ok.

"Coen?" I ask.

"Yeah?" The humor in his voice was gone, he must have remembered about my father.

"Is he ok?" I can feel myself starting to tear up, something very unusual for me to do but to be fair this has been an emotional day.

"I'm not sure," Coen says declining his head towards his knees and avoiding eye contact.

I can tell he wants to comfort me but thinks he isn't in the position to do so, we've only known each other for about a week, not including karate lessons. We're only sitting on the only rock stable enough in the cave so we're close. He lifts his arm and pats me on the back as his awkward way of comforting me. This... special gesture causes my mood to lighten and I smile through the tears.

"Thanks, I appreciate your awkwardness." He lifts his head slightly, although still looking at his knees, I can see him smiling slightly.

"I guess I should continue teaching you about what happened so we can start with the theories about what happened to... you know who." The unintended Harry Potter reference makes me smile a little while thinking about my Dad as Voldemort but I nod in agreement (not with my Dad being Voldemort).

"Kay. But why did my Dad tell me that my Mum was killed instead of telling me the truth?" His arm was now back in his lap and he continued explaining/answering my questions.

"If he did, you would ask so many questions that he couldn't answer. Plus you can't see your Mother because he's not magical so there's no proving anything he says. This would be very stressful for both of you therefore it was just be better for you to find out when you can have the questions answered as well as see your Mother too."

"So I assume we're going to meet my Mum sometime soon?" I ask and Coen nods, smiling sadly.

"Yeah, later though, after you know the full story. So... Where to start? As you know, the reason it felt good after you accidentally killed your teacher and your friend was because you're the daughter of the Devil. Usually, other spawns of the Devil would grow up to be a mass murderer, like the Devil herself." Coen stops for a minute then turns to face me.

"Is there anything else you want to know?" He says quietly while slowly looking up to meet my eyes then looking quickly down again.

I notice that he was light freckles delicately splattered over his eyelids. I quickly snap myself out of the trance then answer his question.

"Yeah, how will we know if my Dad's ok, why was he at that fishing place?" I ask cautiously while trying to read Coen's diamond-shaped face to see if he knows anything.

"The woman you saw shoot me abducted him from your house. The plan was to take you to their side by using your Dad as bait, the only way to know if he's ok is to look in the river of souls. You'll be able to sense his soul after we train your powers but if we can't sense his soul he must be still alive." Why did Coen pretend to shoot me that day in the fishery, the only reason could be if he works for the other side...
