A week and a half had passed since the first day of school and to be completely honest, I wished I was enjoying school as much as my sister did. I was being unknown like I was used to, but I was tired of that. I really wanted to get out there with the world and have friends and -as much as this sounds stupid and cliché- i want to live my life young & free, and I didn't mind if I was reckless for some of it. I wanted a bit of fun in my life, a bit of excitement.

But as every morning I woke up, ate breakfast and went to school.

First class science. I would have fell asleep if it weren't for that guy Michael that pocked me as soon as he saw I was drifting off. We understood eachother, and we actually had quite a few things in common even thought we didn't talk that much. He was the only "friend" I had made here since I've arrived. I wish I'd get to know him better, that's one thing I have to plan to do because Michael does seems like a chill guy.

Second class, english. That class was the only one I could tolerate, but I'd rather be sleeping than listening to my teacher talking about god knows what Shakespeare story (I practically had read them all in my other schools so this topic was boring to me.)

At lunch today, a familiar face came and sat next to me. It was the same guy that sat with me on the first day of school, I hadn't seen him in a few days. I had almost forgotten about him.

"Would you believe me if I said I was sick for a week?" he let out a soft laugh. This was the first time I had heard him laugh and as soft as it was, I wanted to hear it again and again on repeat.

It was so cute.

"A week and a half" I corrected him, "and no, I wouldn't believe you" I laughed back.

"Oh so you have been counting the days until my return I see." he teases me.

I wondered where he had really been for more than a week. I hadn't seen him around school either including my english class, which apparently he was in. I wondered if he had missed all that school. I personally wouldn't like to catch up on all that work..

"So mystery girl, will I ever know your name?" he asks me.

"Will I ever know your name?" I ask back.

He smiles widdly. His smile makes me genuinly happy, and I just couldn't control what effect it had on me.

"Ashton. Ashton Irwin." he finally answered.

The way he said his name gave me the slightest shivers through my spine, but I didn't take notice into them. I mean yeah he was cute but I barely knew him.

"Well Ashton," i paused, "why do you take such interest in knowing my name?" i ask him. As much as I hated it, I was quite the question asker. It could get really annoying if you got to know me better, that's why I try to keep quiet whenever I'm around people. Bitting the inside of my cheek was one of my bad habits.

"Well I got to get to know your name if we ever become friends." Ashton answered.

"Oh so now you expect us of becoming friends?"

We starred at eachother for a bit but I couldn't keep it in.

"Lou" I blurted out.

"Lou?" he smiled.

"That's my name." I answer quickly.

"That's such a cute name!" he chuckled. I wasn't sure if that a compliment or not.. "What is it short for?" he asks out of curiosity.

Thank god for the bell that rang as I was going to speak. I really didn't like my full name, that's why I kept it short. I was thankful I didn't have to answer Ashton right this instant.

"Well I guess I'll see you around" he pauses, "Lou," he finally finishes as he walks away.

"I guess" is all I answer back but he had already dissapeared through the crowd heading to his next class.
