You and gas mask have always been best friends since you guys were 6 whenever you needed him he'd be there no matter what you told each other secrets and silly things but there's something he is keeping from you and you needed to figure out what. He was only a couple months older then you so he always called you names you guys were like brother and sister you knew from the first day you met him you would get on well but it all changed as you grew older you haven't seen him for years something told you he hated you and he wish he didn't meet you but you knew he didn't hate you.. did he?
It was a boiling hot day and you saw inklings sitting down on the floor you felt to hot to do anything so you went in the shade and tried to cool off. As you drifted to sleep you thought about all the memories you and gas mask had you felt a tear roll down your cheek as you thought about it even more. You had to visit him. You haven't seen him since you were like a 10 year old you ran back to yours and got into something cool. You messaged your mum and asked where he lived

Y/m hey hun I think he lives in the apartments and he's on the top floor, me and his mum were catching up on things they miss you!

As you set off to go meet your old best friend you decide to get a drink and make your way. It took longer then you expected the Queue was short but finding his number was difficult because they were all spaced out eventually you got there and felt your heart beat wild. You were to excited to knock but you knocked quickly and felt like hiding but you stood there like your shoes were glued to the ground. You saw the door open and saw him. Your childhood best friend all grown up made you sad. He looked at you in shock " y/yn is that you " ? He asked with confusion.
Y/n y-yes I really missed you I haven't seen you in ages" usually he didn't like stuff like that but he pulled you into a heartwarming hug " I missed you too y/n he said with a calming voice he brought me to his couch and I hugged him. He hugged back which made you feel loved. "Gas mask I remember you kept a secret from me when we were younger what was it " you said wiping your tears from crying " oh uhm" he said I looked him dead in the eye and had my hand on his shoulders " y/n "

" y/n I don't like myself so Iv hid myself everyone laughed at me so I covered up I wasn't good enough "
You looked at him with watery eyes and hugged his closely " you are good enough for people your amazing masky " you said while cuddling him. He grabbed your chin and kissed you on the lips your eyes grew wide and kissed back. " I love you so much Y/n" was all you heard then drifted off to sleep.
