Chapter 10: 'the cure' & disaster strikes

Recap:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I'm doing this for everyone who has to live in this world, and anyways Frank always told me too 'learn from yesterday, live for today and hope for tomorrow' he always did love his quotes" I replied a small smile on my lips at the mention of him, the Sergeant sighed deeply and took a stepped back, I nodded to the man beside me.

He attached one IV to my arm and another to my hand, he then proceeded to injected the 'cure' into the drip attached to the IV and I watched as the 'cure' ran down the tube and into my veins, I felt fine after a few seconds so I thought it didn't work but then I felt it, I could feel my arm start to burn and then the burning was all over, it felt like my insides were on fire I could hear someone screaming, I felt hands grab me and hold me down that's when I realised that the screaming was coming from me and that I was thrusting my body around.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All I could feel was agonising pain eating away at my bones it felt like my insides were tearing me apart, my vision was going blurry I was constantly going in and out of consciousness I could feel everything happening to me the burning, the twists and turns in my stomach, I could feel my bones grinding against each other every time I moved, all I could hear was the pounding of my heart beat rushing in my ears, I could make out blurry figures in front of me and they were speaking about something, panicking about something but I couldn't tell what they were saying everything around me was muffled and eventually I passed out from the pain.

*An hour and a half time skip to when Allison wakes up*

I felt stiff like my muscles were on fire, I opened my eyes and looked around me to see nothing the room was completely dark, I waited for my eyes to adjust to the dark then looked around again only to find that I was in the same room where Charlie, Lily, Ethan, Caden and I went in with all those sick people, I tried to get up but I realised that rope was around my ankles tying them down to the bed and that one of my hands was tired down to the bar above my head I tried to get loose but to no avail so I gave up on trying.

"hey... Allison, over here" I hear a voice call out to me and I look around for who called me, I couldn't really make anything out in the darkness, the only light source in the room was one or two little camping lanterns on some peoples bedside table.

"h-hello, w-who is that" I replied but my voice sounded weak and my throat felt like it was on fire I grabbed hold of my throat and started to cough, I covered my mouth with the hand that was holding my throat.

I pulled my hand away from my mouth after I had stopped coughing, but my eyes widened at what I saw, in the palm of my hand was my blood but it didn't look like blood, it was like a thick black tar substance, I quickly wiped the 'blood' off my hand and got to work on the rope tying me down to the bed I was on, I started working on my hand first and once I had that free I started working on getting my feet.

"Allison, help me out over here" the voice called out to me again and I stopped what I was doing and looked up and seen a familiar face.

"Jeremy!?"I said in shock, he shushed me telling me to be quite I nodded and then proceeded to untie the last rope, once I finished that I got up and swing my legs over the side of the bed I stand up and take a step forward only for me to hiss in pain as my legs nearly gave out from under me making me grab hold of the edge of the bed but I pushed myself to get to Jeremy.
