Chapter 11: karma strikes back

He fell out of the bed and then stumbled to his feet, he made his way to the girl next to him and bit into her neck tearing away the soft flesh, he then continued on his way to his next victim doing the same to them only he ripped into their arm, the girl who was bitten in the neck died chocking on her blood but she wasn't entirely dead. She dragged herself out of the bed and to the person across from her, she reached for their arm and grabbed a hold of them pinning the person down to the bed as she takes a bit out of their throat causing the person's eyes to snap open from their sleep, one by one they all turned, one by one they all died till someone eventually took notice of the undead filling the room and that was how the bloodbath started.

*Caden's P.O.V*

I couldn't stop thinking about what happened, why did Ally do that? She knew the danger of taking the cure, she knew what would happen to her, yet she still did it. We were all just sitting around in the dance studio where we would've normally had our lessons in. some of us was talking, some were just sitting around staring at nothing, I myself was talking to Matt about everything that's happened.

"I can't believe Ally did that, she knew what would happen and now she's over there with Jeremy!" I exclaimed to Matt, only for him to 'shush' me, I mean come on I'm always loud what does he except from me.

"Well you know Allison she does things without thinking about it" he replied to me as he laid back down on his sleeping bag, kicking his shoes off and rolling around to get in a comfortable position.

"That's what I'm talking about, even though she does things without thinking about them first she always has a reason behind doing it, that's why I don't understand why she did that she knew the 'cure' wouldn't work" I said, my thoughts going all over the place trying to figure out why she did that, after not getting a reply from Matt I assumed he had fallen asleep. I looked over at the others to see that they were staring back at me, I probably sounded crazy running my mouth trying to think of solution to all of this.

"Does it matter why Ally did it? I mean we can't do anything about it. We're kids Caden nobody's going to listen to what we have to say." Charlie said to me as she looked down to the ground, I watched as everyone else nodded their heads agreeing with her.

"Then we make them listen!" I exclaimed, only to get hit in the back of my head. I yelped at the force, it was so hard and sudden that my head started aching, I turned to where the hit come from and no surprise there when I saw that it was Lily who did it.

"Be quiet! Do you want them to hear you?!" she whispered turning her head to watch the door just in case someone would come.

"What Ally did was stupid and I think she knows that but Caden's right she must have thought that deep down she knew she was doing something right, and we don't even know if the 'cure' worked or not for all we know she could have survived it there's no telling what happened, just knowing that it did happen and it's best not to think about the 'what if's'. We just need to get through the night and we'll talk to that Sergeant Miller in the morning" Mason told us, he laid down on his back and everyone nodded their heads agreeing with him as they too laid down to get some sleep. I turned to the door when I thought I heard a noise, thinking it was nothing I turned back around, but a second later I heard it again, I could hear gun fire in the distance. At first, I thought it was just my imagination, so I turned back to the others.

"Hey guys, do you hea-" as I was going to ask if they hear the noise outside I was cut off by something, I now know that the sounds weren't just my imagination, they were real, and they were coming from outside of the building. And that's when we heard it, that's when we heard the guns and screams.

Everyone jumped to their feet at the sound, we all went out of the class room to see what was going on only to be greeted by a horrifying sight. People lying dead in their own blood, the Empties ripping flesh apart, chewing on people as if they haven't been feed in years, the sound of gun fire ringing in my ears like church bells. I stand there along with everyone else, just staring at the bloody scene with wide terrified eyes as fear overwhelmed me and I was frozen to the spot, I was so scared that I didn't notice one of the Empties was coming right at us. I got pulled out of my frozen state by someone grabbing my shoulder's and pulling back, I looked back to see two Army men standing by my friends protecting them, I looked in front of me and saw another man shooting at the Empty that I now realised was only a few feet from me.

"Get back kid!" the man in front yells back to me, he didn't have to tell me twice as I was already sprinting back to where everyone else was standing.

"Caden! Are you alright? Charlie exclaimed grabbing my shoulders, I nodded my head still too scared to talk.

"What were you thinking, you could have gotten yourself killed" Mason said, he looked like he was about to pass out from terror, his face was pale and sweaty, his hands wouldn't stop shaking.

"Oh my god, Caden. Are you okay, is he okay, what happened to him, he'll be fine right?!†Matt and Lily fussed over me, Lily checking me over for injuries and Matt asked everyone if I was okay. Um like hello I am right here you know, I pushed lily away from me and stepped back.

"I can answer for myself you know and I'm fine" I informed them, some of them gave a small smile and some nodded their heads, the two men beside us started to push us forwards as they lead us out of the building, they shot all the empties that came anywhere close to us, keeping us safe till we got outside but they couldn't keep us safe from the horrifying scene that looked like something out of a movie, but this wasn't a movie, this was real, this was our life now. A world we'll never be able to forget so easily.

crap ending I know but I've been unmotivated to write anything recently and I honestly forgot I had this story up.

anyways that's chapter 11, I'll try to work hard on chapter 12 also I've been thinking about making the chapter's shorter because when I went through the other chapters I've realised they were way too long, I'm gonna shorten them so it makes it easier for you guys but also easier for me too.
