I exit rapidly out of my fifth block class and rush to my car to go home. As I scurry to my car ignoring everyone in my path I hear people repeating the words "ink boy". I laugh under my breathe. As I approach my car I squint and see a light figure standing next to the drivers door side.I get closer and it becomes clearer. "Stace!"I call out in excitement. "Hey. Parking your car at Starbucks? Nice move ink boy" Stacey says teasing me. "How do you know about that?"I ask in confusion as I slightly turn my head.
"It's all over Instagram" Stacey informs me as I slam my hand against my forehead in embarrassment. "It's okay, you're the new Kim Kardashian"Stacey pouts jokingly as she pats my back. "Hey atleast you're known, everyone would love to be recognized on their first day of school" Stacey says . I am not one of those people,I don't like attention. I speak into my webcam for goodness sake. I am not meant for the "popular" life.
"Oh crap!" I say as I jump . "I have to get Ian from school" I remind myself out loud as I rapidly attempt at unlocking my car door. "Oh and here's your cold sausage biscuit" I inform Stacey as I toss the biscuit to her. "I guess that means I'll see you later ?" Stacey asks knowing that I'll say yes. "Yes But Come around six, that way you'll be able to stay for dinner"I advise Stacey. "Okay, see you Ink boy" Stacey says playfully then walking off to her car.

"Ian!"I call out as I pull into Ian's school parking lot for car riders. "Finally" Ian says with frustration in his voice and opening the passengers side door. "Why are you pouting? I was only like... ten minutes late"I say as I glance at the time on my phone. "Because I know this is what it's going to be like for the next nine months" he says as he slams the car door after taking a seat inside. "Slam my car door one more time and I'll slam you" I say bucking at Ian playfully. "Just drive" Ian demands before sticking his tongue out at me."How was school today?" I ask Ian as we get cemented in California traffic. "School was good,I guess" Ian says shrugging his shoulders. "Why'd you say it like that?"I say popping my eyes out and squinting my head back. "Because, most of my friends switched schools"Ian educated me. "Well meet new people then" I advise. "I only had like three friends. I don't want to meet new people" Ian declines. "Well I think meeting new people is the way to go. Pouting and thinking about them isn't going to help anything" I advise Ian as I slowly press my foot on the gas getting two feet closer to the car in front of me.
"How was college for you?"Ian asks as he pulls out a bag of original lays out of his bookbag. "Let's just say I got a new nickname" I say deeply exhaling. "Ink boy" Ian reminds as I try to figure out how he must've known. Ian pulls up a picture on his Instagram and exposes me to it, "see" he says placing his phone in my face. "I look really good in that" I say jokingly.
