Robby and I ran back downstairs to catch up with the others. We took a seat at the dinner table and remained silent. "Where's my daughter?" Staceys father asked. "Uhm. Uh. Her friends had this thing"I say trying to cover up Staceys truth. "One of her girlfriends were having really,deep family issues so she raced to her"Robby finished off. "Thank you" I whispered. "Well I have to go find her"Mr.Skagg says standing up from his table. "It's okay.We can wait until after dinner,I'm sure she's fine"my mom said calming Mr.Skagg down.

Dinner was over and everyone participated in cleaning up. I was picking up glass cups from the living room table and became distracted by the door opening. It was Stacey, she gave me a quick smile and continued walking towards her dad. I pause what I'm doing to overhear their conversation. "Where the hell have you been?" Her dad asked hissing at her and grabbing her arm."I was out" Stacey responded then snatching her arm out of her dads hand. "Don't speak to me like that. I'm your father and I'd like a direct answer"her father demanded. "You're my father?"Stacey chuckled. "Act like it" she said then walking towards my mother.
Mr.Skagg glances at me and I turn back acting as if nothing happened. "What does she mean act like it?"I begin to question to myself as I take a damp wipe and run it across the table.
