It's Monday,the first Monday of my sophomore year of college. My mom was pretty upset with me last night after declining the therapist. I don't know what's going on with her but at least my dad is on my side.
Surprisingly I make it to class on time.
I'm not feeling school today. I just want to lay on my bed and just rest...forever.
Through out the school day I can feel all eyes on me as I walked the campus. I can hear my name being mentioned under peoples breathes. With my feet trembling I make my way to the library instead of my fourth block class.
I hide out and sleep the whole time. I guess you can say I skipped my last two classes. Great student,am I right?
As I go into deep sleep I wake up by a phone call. "Who the..." I think to myself. The number is unrecognizable.
"Hello?" I say trying to keep quiet. "Is this Ethan?" asks a deep voice. He sounded like he was my age and hit puberty more than five times. "Yes,who's this?" I ask. "It's Robby" he informs. "Oh my- oh my gosh"I say getting up from my chair and making my way out of the library. "Robby... how did you get my number?" I ask curiously. "Stacey gave it to me. I also know where you're at" he says with a hidden laugh. "Look to your left" he demands.
And there he was. Robby was in a black car. It was clean and looked expensive. I walk to wards him in the car and greet him. "Hi" I say nervously. "Hey. Get in" he demanded resting his elbow on his window. I do as he demands and make myself comfortable. "So what's new"I ask. "Nothing. Still the same old Robby. Though,I just got a new job. I'm doing web design with some place- honestly I don't even know who I'm with I just know I'm getting paid good money for it" he says with a laugh. "That's great" I say then remaining silent.
"And you?" He asks giving me a small shove. "Uhm..."I say letting out a small sigh. "I'm supposed to be in class right now but I just can't...not today and I -I ca- came out to my parents" I say with a pleading look.As I continued to update Robby about my life he leans in and kisses me,I kissed back but not to long. I push Robby off . "No,no" I say opening the car door and getting out of his car. "You chose the wrong day" I say as he laughs at me. "I'm proud of you. You did it" he says shrugging his shoulders. "You came out to someone other than Stacey " he points out. I roll my eyes and cross my hands. "Okay... while we're here explain to me why you left me you dweeb" I commanded Robby. "Because. You were never bold enough to show the real you. I didn't want to be in a relationship with someone who was scared to expose to they are" he explains. "Oh. Thank god,I thought it was cause I was ugly" I say jokingly. "Not even close" he says leaded by a wink.
"No. You can't do it. Don't go for Robby again. " I think to myself as I blush due to his comment.
