(Toothless' POV)
"Hiccup? Hiccup!" I raised my head after Astrid tried to wake up Hiccup, making a lot of noise while doing so. "Toothless, can you help me wake up Hiccup?" I yawned in reply, unsheathed my razor-sharp teeth, and stretched. I walked lazily toward the bed, slightly excited to wake Hiccup up for once. I hopped up on the bed and start licking Hiccup on his upper body rapidly. He woke up with a sharp yell. He started flailing around before rolling off the bed to avoid anymore "licks". Astrid clutched her side trying to hide her giggles, but she failed and burst out laughing.
"For the last time, you know your slobber doesn't wash out!" Hiccup tried to sugarcoat his laughter with anger, but after turning into an Alpha Night Fury I could tell what emotions humans are feeling. After a short bout of trying to make himself heard over Astrid's and my laughs, he collapsed against the bed in a fit of laughter. "Okay, what was soooo important that you guys had to use that wake up call?" Astrid's face turned serious and I lowered my head, becoming serious as well.
"Valka wants to talk to you. She said Gothi had a vision about..." She glanced at me "Another." I felt my jaw drop in shock and happiness. "Hiccup?" Hiccup ran over to me and hopped on my back.
"Come on Astrid!" I didn't know what to feel.
Another Night Fury! Finally!
"I'll take Stormfly so she doesn't freak out when I don't walk out of the house." She darted downstairs and out the door. Hiccup patted my head and I took off through the skyhole. I flew close to Stormfly as we made our way to Gothi's. I only heard snippets of Hiccup's and Astrid's conversation.
"Can you believe-""Toothless thinks of this?" I snapped my ear on Hiccup's cheek to show that I heard him talking about me. I do not like people talking about me without my approval, even if it's Hiccup.
"Toothless! What was that for?!" Stormfly squawked indignantly.
"Sorry, my Alpha instincts got a hold of me." I lied. Being an Alpha changed me. Astrid looked at me skeptically after I roared that at Stormfly.
If only they could understand us. Even so, humans are paranoid. I shot forward and thumped down on Gothi's landing platform to announce our arrival. Astrid leapt down onto the platform from Stormfly since it was Terrible Terror size.
"You got him up Astrid. Good job." Valka and Gothi emerged from the shadows by Gothi's house and I shifted my talons.
"It wasn't me. It was Toothless.""Oh. Well then. Good job Toothless." Valka walked over and put a reassuring hand on my back. I purred in reply and nuzzled her before going to stand next to Hiccup. "Gothi had a vision which she described to me in vivid detail. She says a-"
"Hold on Mom! We should get the gang together and then tell the story."
"Good idea. Toothless, do your thing." Valka ordered. I nodded and closed my eyes, sending out a message to the other dragons of the riders. A few minutes later, Snotlout dropped onto the platform headfirst.
"Thanks a lot Hookfang!" Snotlout shouted at his dragon. Hookfang screeched in reply, tried to set Snotlout's head on fire, and flapped away to go sleep some more, I assumed.
Next, I heard a set of hovering wings behind me. I turned around, knowing it was Meatlug. She was hovering behind a very sleepy Fishlegs, yawning.
"What do you need Hiccup?" Fishlegs yawned, sounding sleepy.
"Hang on. Let's wait for the twins to get here." Hiccup said.
"Looking for us!" I wheeled around and bared my teeth, but it's the twins. I rolled my eyes.
Why do they have to be so 'sneaky'?
"Whoa! Easy there T. No need to shred your favorite Viking." I rolled my eyes again in response and shot a plasma blast over their heads. They jumped in surprise. Tuffnut leaned over to Hiccup. "I think T is a little on edge, don't you think Hiccup?" He said in a not very quiet whisper."Tell me about it. Okay back to the point. Gothi has had a vision about another Night Fury. Mom, can you explain what Gothi saw?"
"Ohhhhhhh! That explains why Toothless is on edge. He's afraid you'll love the other Fury more than him and abandon him." Tuffnut said, oblivious to the others staring at him. I bristled and snorted angrily, while Hiccup frowned.
"Can we get to the point please?! Mom." He nodded at Valka.
"Gothi had a vision which she described to me in vivid detail. She said another world is out there, containing silvery ice dragons, brown mud dragons, rainbow rainforest dragons, green and blue sea dragons, red and orange sky dragons, pale dusty sand dragons, and-"She glanced at me nervously. "Starry night dragons. These dragons are massive in size, their dragonets slightly smaller than an Alpha Bewilderbeast." I blinked in surprise.
So how big are the grown ones? I wondered.
"These dragons, Gothi says, are amazing beautiful creatures with two flaws." I leaned in closer as her voice dropped to a whisper. "They eat people, keep them as pets in cages, or raid their villages. Some of them. Some just watch from a distance, like they're studying us. The second one is that they fight and kill each other for no reason." The others look at her in shock while I blinked. I had killed humans in the past, but I never thought of eating them. The thought was disgusting.
"Is that all Mom?" Hiccup asked nervously.
"Yes. That is all."
"So, when do we leave?" Everybody looked at Hiccup in surprise. I sighed internally, already knowing his impulsiveness would do him no good."You don't understand Hiccup. These dragons have to come to us or we will never find them." Valka said gently.
"Oh. Okay." I could tell he was disappointed, so I walked over and nuzzled him, cooing softly in my throat. "We will wait for them to come to us, and when they do, we'll be ready."
