(Toothless' POV)

I watched as Cloudjumper slowly lowered the new dragon into the rock hollow. Hiccup was leaning against my side as he counted his darts.

"Well bud. What do you think about the name Star Fury?" I nosed him back in response as he scratched my chin. The name was perfect. Hiccup named her because of the scales under her wings.

Which are so pretty. I snorted, suddenly embarrassed. Must be the heat. Meatlug and Hookfang slowly lowered the chain dome back on. Astrid and the twins hammered it down. Eret went off to keep the crowds at bay. All the dragons landed and I shifted my attention to them before turning back to the Star Fury.

"Mom!" He ran over to her, which left me to watch the Star Fury. Fishlegs had removed the spine under her wing and put some herbs in the wound, so she could start healing. I smiled as I watched her sleep. She suddenly snapped her eyes open and leapt up. She roared about some dragons named Turtle, Lightdestroyer and Kinkajou. I barely caught how she yowled about how Turtle and Kinkajou are getting tortured by Lightdestroyer. I shook my head and yowled.

"You're safe! Calm down." The other dragons stared at her in confusion before I glared at them. They immediately started roaring comforting things. The riders stood there in shock and confusion. I ran up to the gate.

Come on humans! Help us. I thought in panic and anger as I scratched at the gate.

(Hiccup's POV)

"Mom!" I ran over to her as she dismounted Cloudjumper and the other dragons landed. Eret landed further off a moment later. "Mom, what do you think about the name Star Fury for our new dragon?" I asked eagerly.

"I think Star Fury is a-" She broke off and I heard loud and angry roaring from behind me. The Star Fury had woken up. She was roaring loud enough for the Outcasts to hear her, metaphorically of course. Toothless joined into her roaring as the other dragons looked at the Star Fury in confusion. Toothless glared at them and they started joining in, even Cloudjumper and Skullcrusher. The riders and I watched in shock as Toothless ran over to the gate and started scratching at it and trilling. I got the message and started running over to him.

(Moon's POV)

I flapped slowly over an ocean, looking for something. I suddenly turned to a giant Nightwing-Icewing hybrid.

"No!" I said boldly. The dragon roared in fury and showed me Turtle and Kinkajou being tortured by animus magic. Turtle had a face of horror and agony and Kinkajou was a pale green and white. "Lightdestroyer stop!" I cried.
I snapped awake suddenly in panic as the night crashed down on me. I started roaring in fury about how they are being tortured by Lightdestroyer. A group of the same scavengers were watching with shock and slight panic.

"You're safe! Calm down." I heard the loud yowl from the glossy black dragon.

No! I will not calm down. Not while my friends are being tortured! The same strange dragons that I didn't know the names of started joining in. I ignored them and continued to roar. I wouldn't stop for anything except escape. I saw the black dragon run over to the gate that's keeping me in this place.

"Let me in!" He trilled to the scavengers. Loud-Squeak ran over to a lever and pulled it down. I didn't think about escaping that way, they would just stop me. The gate wasn't even halfway open when the black dragon barreled in and pinned one of my wings to the ground. I snarled in rage and tried to yank it out of his gasp, but he had it pinned tight.

"You have to let me go! I have to save them." I yowled in panic and anger. A picture of Turtle and Kinkajou being tortured flashed through my mind, encouraging me. I whirled around and dislodged the black dragon. I snapped my teeth and flexed my talons towards him. He shrank back in response but opened his wings wide in a non-threatening way. I closed my wings which had flared open when I whirled around and gave him a puzzled expression. Loud-Squeak and Soothe-Squeak rushed in with a blond girl, but they froze when they saw us. The black dragon dipped his head formally.

"My name is Toothless, what is yours?" I stared at him in confusion.

Did he seriously just ask my name as I'm about to attack him?

"My name-my name is Moonwatcher." I stuttered out, still blatantly confused at his behavior. "But you can call me Moon." He blinked in a friendly way and smiled a toothless smile.

So that's where his name came from.

"Uh, can you let me go?" I tilted my head at the friendly dragon as I felt my hopeful expression beam out at him. His smile turned into a gentle frown.

"Sorry Moon. We just want to now more about your world and the other dragons there, plus you're hurt." My head drooped and I closed my eyes. "But we will let you go if you give us what we want and after you heal. That's their main concern." A couple heartbeats later, I felt a wing spread over my back. Gentle sympathy squeaks from the scavengers both inside and outside the cage rang out.

My prison. I curled up into a ball, tucked my tail over my nose, and closed my eyes, hoping to fall asleep. If I didn't, then I would show these scavengers and dragons that they need to respect me.

(Hiccup's POV)

I watched, astonished as Toothless dipped his head and spoke in a low roar. The Star Fury stared at him in confusion. Then the Star Fury stuttered a low roar in reply. I grinned when Toothless smiled his famous toothless smile as he blinked. The Star Fury tilted her head with a hopeful expression and roared to Toothless softly. His grin turned into a frown as he gently roared in reply. The Star Fury closed her eyes and dropped her head. Toothless silently padded over and spread his wing across her back. Everybody cooed in sympathy. When she curled up and tried to fall asleep Toothless removed his wing walked over to me. He nudged my hand with his snout and cooed softly. I turned to my mom and Astrid.

"Well that was..." Astrid searched for a word to use. "Amazing. Cool. Awesome. Anyone else have any words to describe that?" I was in slight shock. I knew my dragon was very sympathetic but what he just did took it to an entirely different level.

Toothless suddenly hissed and head-bumped me. I turned toward the awoken Star Fury and stared at her in surprise. She had her beautiful star-scattered wings spread and her body was poised regally. She stared at me with her purple eyes without blinking. I stared back as slight awe ran through me.
