Once Adiar wakes me up with his stupid routine, I only get out of bed to avoid him, go to the bathroom, and take a shower. I've been here before, but I haven't really taken a good look at the place. It looks like something from a mansion, so Im just wondering what Corlana's bathroom looks like. Speaking of her, her husband die during this year, and I completely forgot about it. I always try to forget her husband, which is Marcellus Snow. Yeah, he died this year, but I forgot how, but he was 65 when he died. Anyways, I just press a random button, and soap dispenses from a whole in the shower that goes on my hair. It smells really nice, and so I just wash my hair and my body with it, even if its not for my body. After I'm done and dried up, the stylists dress me, and I'm in a pink suit with a pink ribbon on my hair. Honestly, I can't say I look bad, even if I kinda look like a geek.
"Absolutely Beautiful!", Alexis says. "The crowd will go absolutely berserk when they see her gorgeous face!" She says. The stylists just do some finishing touches like my makeup and such, while I see Jack in a deep blue suit with a grey tie. We go to dinner, since the interview is at 8pm. The stylists talk to Jack about his outfit and all of that, while Adiar talks to Venture and Gliese. This leaves me alone, but thats okay, as I always wasn't a talker. I go and watch Terra's Games. She's interviewed by Gaius Flickerman, the first Master of Ceremonies. She's a pretty courages woman, while also being pretty funny, as she appeals to the crowd. I take a nap, and Im woken up by Adiar again, unfortunately. The interview is in an hour, so we go to the Capitol to go get interviewed by Julius Flickerman. I see the other tributes, with Jessica wearing a sparkly silver dress, while the boy from 12 is wearing a dark grey suit with a tie. The careers probably needed custom suits, as they were probably too tall for any other outfits.
First the tributes from 1 get interviewed, as they are snarky, arrogant, and somewhat funny. When they shake Julius's hand it takes his breath away on how strong they are. The boy from 2 begins to talk.
"Well, in this world, you have to fight for what you want right?" Says Jackson.
"I absolutely agree"Julius says
"Well, I want to become a victor, so thats why I volunteered" the career says. I can see where he's coming from, but I don't think he's the best tribute that I've seen. Im not saying I am or anything, since I'm not, but who knows, maybe he can win.
"Well, I can respect that", says Julius. "Well, I wish you the best of luck. Lets give it up for Jackson!" The crowd claps. Then, I see the boy from 3 go after the girl from 2 does. He's kind of shy, but blows Julius away with his incredible knowledge about odds and everything. Next is Jessica, who isn't as smart as her district partner but her her intelligence is still notable, like most of the tributes from 3. Its like a stereotype for them.
"Now," Julius says, "Lets give a humungous warm welcome for the tribute who's mother is a victor, specifically of the 31st Games, Brook Selkirk!" The crowd goes delirious. Brook is very very cocky and arrogant, bragging on how easy it will be to win the Games. Im getting the feeling that Julius really likes his personality. After Are goes, its my turn, and I'm scared t death.
I can hear Julius say from a distance, "Now, lets give a warm round of applause, for Thorburn Chelowech!" The crowd claps. "So, Thorburn, what did you think of your costume?" he asks,
"Its better than I anticipated" I said to him, since most of the costumes out district wears in the tribute parade is pretty bad. "Very original design," I say.
"I agree," Julius says, "I think its my favorite outfit from your district so far!" The crowd cheers. However, he's only been the master of ceremonies for only 2 years, but its still nice that he likes my outfit that much though, so thats a start.
"So, are you a hunter, or a gatherer?" He asks.
"Both" I say. This impresses Julius, as we usually are just gatherers, and not fighters.
"Well, I'm very exited to see you in the arena"he says. I don't know if that means that he wants to see me killed, or if he just wants to see my skills on survival and fighting.
"Thank you," I say. Another couple of mins pass by, with him asking the same old question that he did each year, and the same questions his father asked, which is kind of boring to me. When I'm done, I head with the other tributes to see the others get interviewed. I try my best to ignore my district partner's since I don't wanna know anything about him, so when he dies I won't get sad about it, which will definitely slow me down. People would call me a hypocrite, as I've definitely made allies with Jessica and the boy from 12, which is bad. I'm scared for the boy, as he looks like he's not a good fighter. However, he's quick, agile, and flexible, thats for sure. I do pay attention to him, as he is the last tribute to get interviewed. He's definitely the favorite of the crowd, as he's constantly cracking jokes. I always enjoy that. Julius is laughing so hard that he can't even say goodbye to him before the timer rings and he goes with the other tributes. If the game makers want to kill him, I'm sure that they'll have a hard time with it, as he's so likable. Heck, I'm sure he'll get sponsors too, a thing thats never happened to 12 so far. After the interviews, I just go immediately to bed, exhausted from the worry I have in my head-the worry of me tommorow.
Tomorrow the Games will begin.
