Once Adiar wakes me up, I know what day it is, its training day. I hat this day because the careers are there, but they can't hurt me they're, there's security guards everywhere, so they have no chance on interfering. I brush my teeth, take a quick cold shower, and get dressed a different outfit, the one for training I suppose. Jack is pretty pumped for training, unlike me, and we eat breakfast. I accidentally spill my water, which gets on a flour, in which a Avox picks it up, and I help her.
"Thorburn, what do you think you're doing?" Adiar exclaims. "Thats not your job, thats the Avo-"
"Hey!" Venture says. "She can if she wants to. This shuts Adiar up, and now he has a grumpy expression on him. She winks at me and I wink back at her. When I clean up, I see the Avox, a woman with brown hair. We silently pick it up while the others talk. After this, we are escorted by 12 Peacekeepers, along with the other tributes, including the careers. We're all talking, including me, in which I talk to the boy from 12 and the girl from 3. We have a decent conversation, until the boy from 1 says, "Nerds" The group laughs, until they're told to shut up by a Peacekeeper. That makes them quiet, and we snicker. I bet they're so mad right now. When we're at the training center, we make a circle around the woman named Isabelle, a professional on survival.
"Greeting tributes," She says "I am your main guide, Isabelle. Im here to teach you on survival, along with the other guides located everywhere in the training stations." Just like that, we're off to go train. First, I go to a fighting station with the boy from 10 and the girl from 12. They teach us how to use spears in close combat and hot to throw the. I threw a spear at a dummy, and I has pretty close to the bullseye. The boy from 10 is better than me at using it in close combat, and the girl from 12 is just horrible in general at using it. Oh well, looks like she will be one of the first to die. I go and hang out with Jessica and the boy from 12, and we hang our at the knot-tying station. I will admit, I'm pretty bad at this. However, Jessica is a pro at it, and the boy is not so far behind.I take a look and see the careers, who are looking at me and murmuring stuff. I see Jack at an archery station. We have two hrs left until we have our private sessions, so I take this time to go to the camo station. The guides teach you this by making you look like leaves or sticks, gazelles with coats that blend into the colors of many different biomes. Its pretty boring though, so I just stare into space while my other friends are doing pretty well at it. They dry off while I go do some training at the gauntlet. All of the careers go through it easily, while I'm about to finish it until one of the guides wit my with a fake sword, making my trip and bust my lip on the corner of the platform, and then I fall to the ground. I didn't feel it though, as it happened so fast. I already see the careers trying to hold in their laughs as my mouth is bleeding like crazy. The guide members help me up while I clean my mouth up with a bowl. Then, before I anticipate it, the timer rings, forcing us to go in a waiting room for our training score. The order starts from 1 to 12, so I have some time left, but not much.
"What do you think you're gonna do?" Jessica says. I didn't even know she was sitting next to me.
"I don't know, maybe some spear throwing I guess" I say. The the last tribute from 1 is doing his private session as she was called, and her named is Crystal. I glance over and see the boy from 12 and Jack talking, and it looks like their having a good conversation. Then, the boy from 2 does, and the speaker says that the guys name is Jackson.
"I don't really know what I'm going to do" She says worryingly. I just calm her down and she's cool again. No big deal. Then, the girl from 2, which I now know is Madison, goes for her private session. We don't really talk after this, and I see the boy from 3 go, then Jessica, then Brook, that stupid boy from 4 go, then his district partner, Are leave. After Jack goes for some time, its my turn, so I go to the room, with Romulous Jackson waiting for me, a man who's pretty fat and has a big red beard and red hair. He's around 6'5. He looks bizarre, but he's a mastermind at traps when it comes to the Games. Pretty sure he's the Head Gamemaker.
"Thorburn Chelowech" I say, and Romulus nods his head. I throw a couple of spears, which are all good throws and hits. The timer goes up and its time for me to go, while I can only hope for the best on what score they will give me.
