When I woke up, the sky was orange, so I guess I woke up very early, so early that I pretty much just took a nap. All I can think about right now is how sad Brook's mother would be right now, with her being a victor. That must really be a slap in the face, since she was a victor, she probably told him everything she could, and she might've even been his mentor, but I don't know. Another thing that I realize is that the boy from twelve is still alive. Come to think of it, why didn't I get to know his name? Did he get supplies or not? I don't know, but If I find him, we're making an alliance with each other.
I try to get as far away from anyone as I can, until I want to take shelter when the memory of those mutts came in my head; the thing that dragged Jackson in the water. Who knows what that thing was, but since it's a swamp, it could be a alligator. Hope that's just the only mutt here, but there could be more. I might as well try to look for the boy, as I have nothing here to eat. And besides, no other tribute will definitely give their supplies to me of course, so this is the other alternative. But then the idea strikes me, (what if I try to get stuff at the cornucopia?) well, there's two problems with that. First, the careers could be guarding them, and there were also mutts there, so thats not an option. Right when I'm about to turn left, the careers spot me. That's when I run to the cornucopia. I knew I said I wouldn't, but maybe if I'm lucky those mutts will eat them.
I get to the surface of the area, and see the careers coming towards me, however, their eyes are fixated on something, something big and long in the water. Not that thing I saw yesterday, but something way longer. Probably one of those water snakes. It's going towards them, so I assume I was too quick for it to see me in time. They run away, but the creature is so long that it passes them up, and circles them. They're screwed. I hear them cursing, trying to do something, but they're doomed. Right when its about to strike, the snake gets pulled in by something, something much bigger; like as tall as the cornucopia. It emerges out of the water. It's like some swamp monster, with horns like a ram but it has a humanoid shape, and its much larger. How the fuck did the Gamemakers make this thing? It uses the snake as some sort of weapon, as he whacks one of the girls with such force, she's flattened by it. I'm sure the snake is dead too. I hide in the cornucopia, as the beast rages and attempts to wack them again, but they dodge it multiple time, since they know what will come. Because of this, the beast grabs all of them except for the boy from one, who runs his ass off, while the beast starts eating the careers. I take this short time to run away. I guess the thing doesn't hear me since theres lots of screaming next to him. I don't dare stop running as fast as I can for 10 minuets strait before I think my legs will snap from so much running. Thats when I run into the boy from 12. He doesn't try to run away or try to fight me, as he knows I wouldn't ever try to hurt him. We agree to me allies.
"You look traumatized, why is that?", he asks, which couldn't have been more of a dumber question.
"Its maybe because I'm in a damn Hunger Games, thats why, also because I just saw this giant mutt at the cornucopia eat some of the careers at the cornucopia. Specifically the boy from 1.", I say.
"Jeez I'm sorry!", he says. Look, I don't want to fight any tribute unless it necessary. "Anyways, I have a problem too. I see some horses over there", he says, pointing north. I see some horses there. He probably thinks they're mutts. I mean, what other reason would the Gamemakers put these creatures in here? We walk over there after I fully catch my breath. They don't look like a threat, but here in the arena, that means nothing. Instead of the boy toughing the thing, he touches it with the tip of his bag, but it stick to the hair of the horse. He tries getting it off, but to no avail.
"NO NO NO NO!", he says, pulling with all of his might. "My water and food is in there!" He says in anger.
"Stop!" I say. "We can just maybe get some more!" I say, but obviously not from the cornucopia of course.
"Fine", he says, letting the thing go. Its sticks to the creature. Right after that, the by from 1 sees us. He's charging at us with a sword, when I look at him and the horse. He can tell what I'm thinking when we attack him. I think he's here since he heard the boy from 12 shout too loud. I dodge all of his swoops, while the boy from 12 pushes the career at the horse. He's stuck, and so is his sword. The horse got what it wanted, and it sinks into the water somehow. I see the career crying out in fear before we can't hear him. He's drowning, but I want help him. He was an asshole anyways. I look at the boy from 12 and we celebrate our genius plan.
After some time, I ask, "So, whats your name. Never got to asking you that" I say.
"Beckham", he says. Its a pretty nice name. I didn't realize how sunset is over now, meaning that the death portraits will show up. Of course, they did, and I see Crystal , the girl from 1. Madison, from 2, Are, from 4, Jaden, from 1, and Jackson. The only districts that I counted with both tributes are district 7 and mine. I wonder where Jack's right now. Thats it for tonight, We both sleep in this one big tree, big enough to even accommodate 4 people. Maybe the careers settled here.
