Summer's POV

*one month later*

"I'm home!" I yelled through the house, kicking my shoes off at the door.

"Hey Stephen?" I said. "Where's mom?" I walked into the family room finding him, playing the Wii. Of course.

"She's upstairs." He said never taking his eyes of the television.

"Okay." I slipped my purse off my shoulder, dropping it off the couch before heading upstairs.

"Mom?" I knocked. I heard some mumbling through the door.

"Mom?" I knocked again. Still no response. I slowly opened the door making sure I wasn't interrupting anything.

"Yes I know but-"

"Just give me some more time!"

"I know I said that but beli-"

"Please don't do this." Every sentence that my mom said was just filled with more and more worry.

"Mom?" I stepped in her room. She quickly turned to face me.

"I have to go, but we're not done with this conversation." my mom quickly hung up the phone.

"Uhm... Is everything okay?" I rocked back on to my heels.

"Yes hun, everything is fine." I could hear the lie, in her voice.

"Are you sure? You seemed kind of stressed."

"Yes Summer. I'm sure." her voice became more stern.

"But it seemed like there was an issue on -"

"Summer! I'm fine! Now drop it!" my mom yelled.

"Okay."

The room filled with silence. "Uhm, I was just going to... never mind." I quickly turned on my heels heading out the room.

"Summer, I didn't mean to-" my mom chimed in.

"Don't worry mom." I gave her a small smile. "I understand." I said quietly shutting the door behind me.

I really don't know what's been going around in the house. I can just feel tension whenever I'm around my parents. Well really more like my mom. I still haven't talked to my dad ever since the fight he had over at Justin's a while ago. My dad refuses to apologize because he thinks he did nothing wrong. Can you believe him? I really just can't wait until I turn eighteen so I can move out of this hell hole.

I decided that my room was the best place in the house for me at the moment. I walked into my room jumping onto my bed, staring up at the wall.

"What to do?" I whispered to myself, taping my fingers on my stomach. Normally, I would be with Justin, but he's currently in a meeting right now that is really important, he claims. I can't bother Caity either because she's at her job, working in a daycare. And well everyone else.... Well I really don't want to see.

It's summer vacation and I've literally have done nothing. Well unless you count becoming the girlfriend of the oh-so-famous Justin Bieber. But even that isn't much since Justin and I haven't gone out in public together yet. But that doesn't stop the crazy paparazzi. Besides all that, I haven't done anything normal. Nothing that a teenager going into her senior year, does the summer before. I don't party, I don't go to the beach, I don't go to bonfires, nada.

Out of boredom, I decided that now would be a good time to clean out my phone since I have a bunch of useless stuff in there: pictures, apps, e-mails, and messages. Messages seemed to be the place to start since I never delete them. Keeping all the messages from only Caity and Justin, I went through every conversation deleting all evidence that I ever made contact with anyone. It wasn't until I got to one message where I hesitated on deleting the message.
