Summer's POV

Summer, what the hell were you thinking?

You set yourself up for this.

He's going to kill me. Never mind that. He's going to kill him.

I patiently laid on Justin's brown leather couch waiting for him to return with a package of frozen peas for my face. My butt began to sink further and further in between the cushions as I tried my best to extend my arms under me to push myself up the couch.

"Hey! Let me help you." Justin quickly ran to my side. Sliding one hand under my back, and another under my knee, he gently scooted me up the couch as I made myself comfortable.

"Thankyou." I tried to give a smile but instantly withdrew it from the pain it caused due to my swollen face.

Justin looked down at me, his eyes full of hurt, sympathy, but most of all, regret. Trying to comfort him, I reached out for his hand pulling it close down to me, kissing the palm of his hand.

"I love you." I whispered just loud enough for him to hear.

"I love you more." Justin went down on his knees so his eyes were level with with mine.

"Justin." My eyes began to water. "What are we going to do?" I tried my best to blink the tears away. It was a thought that had been lingering in my head all day.

"What do you mean?" He scrunched his face in confusion.

"This." I looked down at our hands. "Us. My parents won't ev-"

"Shhhh." Justin calmly spoke, tucking my hair behind my ear. "We're going to make this work. Nothing, I mean nothing, will split us apart."

"But my dad! He won't stop. Not until he gets what he wants!" I sat up.

"What makes you think I won't either?" He grinned. "You don't worry about anything. All you have to do is look beautiful like you always do." Justin rested his face in his palms smiling up at me. I stared into his eyes, as he looked back at mine, both of ours showing nothing but desire.

"Beautiful? Justin look at me! I'm covered in bruises!"

"Summer, those scars don't define you. You know what does? Your strength. That's what makes you beautiful. And in the future, those scars will fade, but your strength will always be there. Okay?" Justin stood back up on his feet. "Now... how about I order some Chinese food, and we can watch a movie for the night?"

"Wow." I spoke.

"What?" Justin asked.

"Nothing. It's just, I don't know how I got so lucky." I turned to my side looking up at him.

"I am pretty perfect, aren't I?" Justin said. Shaking my head, I reached for my blanket, pulling it over my face.

...

"Justin! Justin! Justin!" My voice escalated. "I can't watch this." I hid my face in his shoulder.

"Oh, come on! It's not that scary!" Justin chuckled, wrapping his arm around me.

"What do you mean it's not scary?" My voice muffled in his sleeve. "It's called Paranormal Activity. Hint Paranormal."

"I still can't believe you've never seen this movie!"

"It's a scary movie! Summer and scary movies don't match."

"Well it's going to be a long night because there are four of them."
