Justin's POV

I threw another glass plate at the wall, joining the twenty other broken plates on the ground.

This wasn't fair.

I paced back and forth, pulling on the roots of my hair.

"Justin! You've got to stop!" Ryan yelled at me from a distance, making sure he wasn't getting to close. But I could've cared less about what Ryan said. Really, what anyone has to say.

"I swear to God," I mumbled under my breath. "If I find out that that prick put his hands on Summer, I just might have to kill him." I gritted through my teeth. Turning around, I balled my right fist as it aimed for the wall, leaving a pretty nice hole. But after, my knees gave out under me as I fell to the ground, tears running down my face.

"Justin?" Ryan ran over.

"I lost..." I cried. "I lost her."

"No. No you didn't. You didn't loose anything. You still have her." Ryan sat next to me against the wall.

"No. " I shook my head. "I can't. If I go back, I-I put her in danger, Ryan."

"Danger?" he turned his head.

"He..." I tried my best to not let my anger get the best of me. "He hits her."

"He what? How do you know?" Ryan sat up.

"Yesterday when all this happened, she said some things to her mother that she shouldn't have really said, and her mom slapped her across the face. But it was her eyes Ryan. There was a look of fear in them, and right after she hit her, Summer glanced at her father with even more terror. Like she was scared of worst. Anticipating for worst. I knew what that look meant."

"Are you sure she didn't ju-"

"I know what I saw." I cut him off.

"Alright, I believe you."

"I shouldn't have left her. I should've stayed my ground. I could've protected her. Now I don't even know if she's safe. I would never be able to forgive myself if she, if she... got hurt." I chocked on my tears.

"So then what are you going to do?" he asked. I got up on my feet.

"I'm going to go get her." I said, making my way to the door. Ryan pulled on my arm, restricting my movement.

"What?" I flinched.

"There's no way in hell I'm letting you go back there. Not after what I've seen go down between you two."

"What happens between her father and I is none of your fucking business." I snapped.

"Yes it is. Especially when you're not thinking clearly."

"What the fuck are you talking about? Of course I'm thinking clearly! Now get out of my way." I pushed Ryan aside.

"Justin! You're letting your anger get the best of you!" Ryan yelled.

"Well how else am I supposed to act, huh Ryan? The best thing in my life was just stripped away from me and you want me to act calm?" I threw my hands up in the air.

"No, but I don't want you to make dumb choices because you're mad! We all know how you get when you're like this!"

"Ryan." I lowered my voice. "Get. Out. Of. My. Way." I gritted. I took a step forward, but was pulled back once again by Ryan. But this time, I was fed up. I turned around launching my fist at the side of Ryan's jaw, as he flew back onto the floor.
