The Abused Mate

Chapter 9

A week later

"Do I really have to go Jasper? It's mostly filled with people from my old pack", I was still walking beside him in the direction of school even if I didn't want to. Leo and a couple of other people were walking behind or beside us talking to each other.

"Yes you do Claire. But it'll be fine, you have me and Leo and everyone else from my pack, our pack. If you need any help just ask one of them and they will help you", I sighed.

"What if I don't know anyone other than who is walking with us right now? And won't be able to ask anyone else because I don't know too many people that well", he laughed a little before he turned to look at me.

"Well then just mind link me and I'll come running to rescue my princess from whoever the bad guy is", it was my turn to laugh at him, definitely when he called me his princess.

"Yeah Claire, you'll have one of us around if you need it", Leo had stepped forward to stand beside me. I just nod in his direction but the butterflies that were frantically flying around in my stomach didn't stop for a second...

This morning I got checked out by the doctor Nathan to make sure the wound on my back was healing good, and it was. Now it's just a long scar to match the other one on my back, but my back still hurt like a bitch, just because the wound has healed doesn't mean the muscles don't still ache in pain.

When we got into school I was so tempted to hide behind Jasper and have the other boys walk around me so they could hide me from everyone else, but I chose not to because I don't want to look weak.

I may be physically stronger after all the training I've done and am doing, but I'm still terrified to be near anyone from my old pack. Now that I feel things better than before Jasper found me, it scares me a lot more being near them in a classroom...

We go into class and Jasper was in the same as me so we sat together at the back. My stomach was doing somersaults over and over as people slowly started walking into the classroom, I tried not to show anything on my face and succeeded as far as I know.

The teacher came in and started doing the roll, saying name after name until they hit mine.

"Claire?!...", He looked around the room and found me.

"Ahh you are here today, nice to have you back", I looked into his eyes and smiled as best I could as everyone's eyes turned to look at me.

"N-nice to be back", I tried to keep my voice from shaking.

They class went on as normal, and so did the first part of the day. Second period I had with Leo in the same class and we had a great time, I was also mindlinking Jasper at the same time. His voice kept me calm throughout the class which was nice, and I told him that so he didn't think I was just being annoying for the sake of it.

He didn't mind one bit.

 Throughout the class I kept looking around the room and my eyes would always land on a pair of mossy green eyes, it was that girl looking at me and Jasper again. What the hell? But I didn't make any move to ask what she wanted.  

Interval I hung out with Jasper and everyone, then the bell rung for period three, which Leo had with me too. About halfway through I needed to go to the bathroom so while everyone was doing the work that was assigned to us I walked up to the teacher and ask to go, he let me and I left the room after letting Leo know where I was going.

I got there in peace and then on the way back it was a bit more bumpy then I wanted.

Before I could stop it from happening I was pulled away to somewhere where no one could see us unless they went looking.

"Now that you don't have your bodyguards around you. Who do you think you are!? You should be a dead woman!", it was a woman's voice that spoke, but there was multiple women in front of me.

One of them pushed me very hard and I landed on the ground on my ass, because the state I was in right now wasn't very good. I was terrified to do anything against them.

"Hey, why don't we have some fun with her? I mean she isn't marked, I'm sure if she's tainted no man, even her mate will want her. And we have time before they try to come find her so let's spend it wisely", I tensed up at the man's words, he came around the corner to look at me and smirked. I was too terrified to do anything.

I couldn't scream out loud or scream at Jasper in mind link. I couldn't even move...

Leo's Pov

I was sitting in class waiting for Claire to come back. She's been out of class for 10 minutes now, how long does it take a girl to pee and come straight back to class!?

I was starting to worry a little, but I'll wait 5 more minutes and then if she doesn't come back in that time then I was going to go look for her even if I have to walk into the girls bathroom to find her.

As I waited I did a little bit of work and before I knew it 5 minutes went out the door. She wasn't back?! I walked up to the teacher.

"Sir, can I go to the bathroom?", he nodded at me and I walked out the room. I didn't mind link Jasper yet just in case she was just sitting in the girls bathroom or something like that.

But if she's not there then I might just in case it's something bad, I just don't want to make Jasper stress if it's not something really bad during class time.

I walked around the whole school before I heard some student voices that shouldn't be out and about like this.

"Hey Jasper, I think you should see if you can come out of class. Just ask to go to the bathroom or something", I mind linked Jasper because this situation didn't feel right to me.

"Yeah sure, what's up?", the only thing I could think of to say that would make him run was...

"Claire may be in trouble...", the line got cut instantly after I said that, and I had a pretty good feeling that Jasper was already making his way here.

Just in case it was Claire and it was something bad I move toward the voices.

"Just stay still bitch, you'll feel it soon enough", a man's voice.

"You should never have come back to school. I'm sure your dad will be glad to see you again once we're done Claire", that sentence had me running around that corner.

And what I saw was horrible... Even worse than horrible if that's possible.

Claire was lying on the ground with her hands bound and she had a piece of cloth tied around her mouth to stop her from making any sound, she had tears streaming down her face constantly, she was terrified.

Some guy was between her legs pulling up her school skirt, her shirt was already undone, and her bra was just ripped off to expose her chest. These bastards aren't going to live long as soon as Jasper finds out, and oh he will.

There were like two girls just standing off to the side just watching and laughing at what was happening to Claire. A deep growl rumbled out of my throat and that caught both of the girls attention but the guy was too zoned.

They looked at me and their faces went pale and they went to back away but I stopped them immediately. I told Jasper where I was and I knew he was here before he came around the corner to see what was happening.

He froze dead in his tracks to process everything that was happening...
