Chapter 20

Claire's Pov

It's been a few days since Jasper had come back from the Midnight pack, and everyday we have been together for most of the day unless he had some paperwork to do in his office.

At some point we all watched the last two movies in the divergent series, and they were both really good.

At the moment Jasper was in his office doing some work and I thought I would go see him. So I did.

I got to the door to his office and knocked, there was a moment before I heard his voice.

"Who is it?"

"You gorgeous mate, that's who", I heard some shuffling before I got a reply.

"Come in", when I opened the door I saw he was putting something away in one of his drawers in his desk.

"What was that?", I pointed to his hand that had disappeared.

"Just putting away some documents that I don't need at the moment. What's up beautiful?", I didn't question him about what was in his hand anymore than that as I didn't really see what he was holding to begin with.

"Just thought I'd come say hi. See what you're up to, that kind of thing. Unless you would like me to leave so you can finish off whatever work you're finishing off", he stood from his seat and walked around his desk, and over to me where he wrapped me in his arms.

"I would never ask you to leave if all I'm doing is stupid paperwork", I smiled against his chest and hugged him back.

"Gorgeous huh?"

"Are you saying I'm not?!", I pushed him away slightly and looked up to him and he laughed at me, actually laughed at me...

"You're gorgeous, and many more things that just can't put into words because you're just that sexy", I smiled and playfully tapped his arm.

The door opened and someone started talking.

"Hey Jasper, what are we going to do...", Leo walked into the room and turned to look at Jasper when he saw me and shut his mouth from whatever he was going to say to Jasper.

"Oh hey Claire, how ya been? Been awhile since I last saw you", he was covering up whatever he was going to say for some reason, but I wasn't going to push it.

"It's only been a few days, not a week or a month or even a year. Stop being dramatic", Leo laughed.

"But I like to be dramatic for all the wrong things and at the wrong times, it's fun", I laughed and said to Jasper.

"I'll leave you boys to it then. I'll see you at home, don't spend too much time doing paperwork you hear me? I want to go to bed at a reasonable time tonight", last night he came home really late and told me he was doing paperwork and lost track of time.

"If I'm not home when you want to go to bed, just go to bed before me and I'll meet you in bed. Cause I can try but I won't promise anything, there's a lot I have to finish", I sighed before I rose up onto my tip toes and kissed him and walked out of his office in the pack house after saying goodbye to the both of them.

I decided that before I went back home I would let Sage run for a bit, so I went to the edge of the clearing and stripped naked and shifted into wolf form, grabbing my clothes in my mouth and ran off into the forest.

I ran for 2 and half hours before I slightly jogged back to mine and Jasper's place, where I then shifted back into my human form behind a tree and put enough clothes on to be decent and put whatever was left on as I walked inside.
