Just in a flash everything changes. My head hits the headboard of the car as I hear Aricus yell my my name. Shock was an understatement to what I felt right now. Suddenly a light blinds my view, Aricus lounge's in front my small frame covering me whole. A few seconds later, another impact hit us from the front. Aricus scream's in agony as his legs crush beneath him.
Tears flow down my face instantly making my vision go blurry.
I yell for help, but no one hears us, everything flashes before me, we were going to die. I cry out in frustration at my own stupidity. This all my fault.
I crane my neck as Aricus slowly slips out of consciousness. "I love you, " he whispers.
"No, no, no stay awake Aricus," I say as I sob. His hand slowly reaches mine and he places his lips gently on my fingertips.
"Please, don't leave me" I repeat over and over again.
A small smile covers his lips, "I am sorry love," he say's as his eyes flutter close.
This is isn't possible he can't die. I reach out my hand and check for a pulse. I sign in relief as I hear one, hope consumes me entirely. He is not dead, is all I am thinking about, as I rejoice to myself. I wasn't going to let him die. I once again yell for help only for my eyes to blur and dizziness start's to slowly consume me. A sharp pain inflicts up my leg, I look down to see a glass piece pierced into my skin. My head throbs at the sight of blood.
Suddenly I hear faint footsteps, I see a large figure coming into view, happiness overtakes all the pain, worry and hurt.
"We were going to survive" was all that was going through my head, "someone was here to save us".
But little did I know I was wrong, completely, utterly wrong.
