Serena's POV

The air in the room was filled with tension, ten times more than at the party. Dominic's parents sat across my parents, whereas Daren and Danielle sat in the middle together. The only people who weren't present was Dominic and Damien. I watch as everyone looks around my house, finally settling in, they all turn and look at me.

"You have a lovely place dear," Dominic's mother say's with what looked like a genuine smile.

"Thank You," I replied blankly.

"Oh, you can call me Joanna dear," she say's.

"Anyways, let us get straight to the point, we would like to talk to you about the family with you privately" she say's eyeing Kazimi.

Oh, that little bitch.

I see Kazimi slowly turn around to leave, but I wasn't going to let that happen. He is the only family I have left.

"Kazimi stays, if you would like to talk to me he will stay, he is part of my family," I respond trying my best to cool down my anger.

This lady definitely had some guts.

"Very well then, is he your husband?" She counter's back looking annoyed.

As soon as those words leave her mouth I can see Kazimi visibly tense. Shit.

"I don't see how my personal life is any of your concern, but no, we are not married," I say in anger.

I quickly look at Kazimi only to see something flashes his eyes, but he quickly covers it up.

"Let's not get worked here Serena, we would just simply like you to be part of your sister's wedding" she say's with a smug expression.

"As you know our family is well known to the business world as well as to many other industries and our reputation is highly valued, when we marry our son to your sister we would still like to keep that image."

"But if the media catches on to you not being present for the wedding they will go to any extent in order to find out why. If any unwanted news, not saying there is any, leaks out it can tarnish both of our families reputations," she say's giving me a stern look.

I think about what she says as I slowly. I know that I have to go. I turn to face my sister. I could the warning expression she was giving me.

"I will take part in their wedding."

Morning in the office was absolute hell.

Kazimi was snapping at everyone more than usual and we were in a bustle to finish our year-end expenses. I finally finish talking to the CFO in the U.S to check how our finances were going there.

As I finish I call my driver in order to go to Erlin Enterprises. This whole week I have been working on a planned budget for our expenses for our new project.

As I make my way to the meeting room, I notice that everyone was already here, I immediately spot Dominic.

As soon as he spots me he flashes a million dollar smile.

It was weird that we were going to become a family now that I think about it. I quickly snap out my thoughts and begin with the presentation.

The meeting was definitely a success, all of Dominic's shareholders were happy with the budget plan.

As I pack up to leave I hear my name, turning around I see Dominic.
