He tells you that he's at Sejong University, as a practical dance major.
Impressively he didn't take an entrance exam, he just applied with his high school grades.
This new information surprises you, you had assumed he used his parent's money to get by. The thought that he might actually be smart and work hard hadn't crossed your mind.
"So do you just dance or do you make dances too?" You ask, curious to know more.
He laughs at your choice of words. "I do make dances." He says, emphasis on the "make" part.
"I choreograph some and I can freestyle too. It's pretty physically demanding but I wouldn't have it any other way." He replies with a small smile, holding his coffee in his hands.
You smile, "Were you always a creative kid then?".
"I think so, although I used to be on the student committee when I was younger." He replies, scratching the back of his neck as he leans back, as if it's the coolest statement in the world.
You could make fun of how ridiculous he looks, trying to seem nonchalant about being a student committee member, when in your mind it's not particularly exciting. However, there's another question playing on your mind that you're almost sure you know the answer to.
"How about any siblings? Usually when one child is creative the other is more scientific, or that's the stereotype anyway." You say, popping the final chunk of cake into your mouth. You're certain he's an only child. It would explain some of his spoilt behaviour.
"I have a younger sister, I see her when I can." He says, smiling fondly. "My mum goes overseas sometimes for work, which is hard but I know she does it to help me and Minju out."
You swear you could almost see him tearing up. Trying to lighten the mood you decide to change the subject.
"You must be pretty busy, why do I always find you wandering around in random streets?" you ask, half-jokingly.
He looks down, hands tightening around his cup of coffee.
"I just like to walk, there's nothing wrong with that." He mumbles, his eyes clouded.
Quickly trying to resurrect the light atmosphere you chew your bottom lip and think of how best to proceed.
Kino looks up and notices your worrying. A glint sparks in his eyes as you see his lips curl into a small smile.
He reaches over the table and place his fist under your chin, thumb on your lips like he's giving your face a thumbs-up.
Softly he pulls down your lower lip, stopping you from chewing it.
"Don't bite your lips, they're so lovely. Besides, we're in public and I can't be held responsible for my actions if you do that again." He says, winking and enjoying the shocked look on your face.
You stay like that for a moment, his hand under your chin, thumb on your lip before you come to your senses.
"You absolutely will be held responsible for your actions, you're not a wild animal." You say, eyebrow raised, seeing how long he'll stay in this position.
"Oh darling you know nothing about wild." He replies, tilting his head and slowly tilting yours with his hand, drawing you closer.
You lean in as he starts glancing back down at your lips.
You stop about a hands-length in front of him, smiling and looking him straight in the eyes.
"Did you really think it would be that easy?"
He holds the eye contact and pauses for a second, like he's buffering.
"Thanks for the coffee and the chat, but I really must be going." You continue, grinning as you watch Kino become more and more flustered.
"Oh yes of course." He lets go of your chin, following his hand with his eyes as he places it back on his lap.
You could almost feel bad for him, almost.
The two of you gather your things, thank the barista and head out of the café.
You start to walk in the direction of the grocery store when you feel a tap on your shoulder.
Sighing, you turn to face him.
"You forgot your napkin." He announces, holding the white paper napkin out to you.
Confused, you slowly take it, realising that it has been folded in half and is definitely not the napkin you had used at the café.
Opening it you see he's written just about every type of contact detail, right down to his university email address. Laughing you look up to see him on the other side of the street, looking at you and grinning.
You had to give him credit, he's much more of a dork than you ever expected.

A/N
Oh y'all wanted a twist?
If you hadn't guessed already, this may be an AU in which Kino is yet to debut with Pentagon, but has still been noticed by Cube.
Kino actually went to Sejong for a little while in the first semester of his degree but was snapped up pretty quickly by Cube and was the first to debut with Pentagon.
So there is a potential for Pentagon to form and debut but not through a survival show...even though they all technically debuted anyway and no one was eliminated...anyway
I told you there was smut coming but I didn't say when, it will all happen in good time don't worry.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
