Exam season had come and gone.

Kino had tried to keep in contact as much as he could, with his schedule getting busy with practices for showcases at the same time. However, with contact drying up and Kino making no effort to organise another date, your mood had seriously nosedived.

Lucy had been talking about Shinwon more and more, although she had been similarly busy with a million things and as a consequence hadn't been able to see him since the infamous Milkshake Double Date.

The weather had started to turn colder.

But that has never stopped students going out.

Now exams were over Lucy had taken to dragging you to clubs where she'd mysteriously and totally "accidentally" bump into Shinwon and his model friends.

Lucy would then proceed to suck face with Shinwon for most of the night while Shinwon's friends give you sympathetic looks and try to make small talk with you.

It's not that you weren't attracted to some of Shinwon's friends, I mean they were models for crying out loud and had the faces to fit.

You just wondered why you never ran into Kino, accidentally or otherwise, anymore.

Until you did.

Christmas was getting closer and this year you weren't flying home to spend it with family.

Lucy had been talking your ear off about whether or not Shinwon was going to ask to spend Christmas with her, as it is more of a couple's holiday than a family one here.

You were sure he was going to and told her so every time she brought it up.

Lucy seemed to be feeling much better since she gave you that note all those weeks ago.

Shinwon had played a part in this you were sure, but it would be unfair to say he was the only reason she had been acting more joyful.

You could see Lucy trying to reframe the way she saw things and organising herself so things didn't build up and topple on top of her.

You were so proud of your friend, it was not an easy fight and there was no one way to fight it.

It was a Friday and you wanted to go out.

Kino had texted you earlier in the week saying that one of his dance friends had invited him to an event and suggested you come.

So, here you were, sitting in Lucy's apartment, listening to music and talking about Shinwon as usual.

"So, speaking of Shinwon-" You start.

"Oh yeah I almost forgot! He invited us to this event today! He got us VIP, so we don't have to pay for entry and a couple of other things. Please come with me, it sounds fun. Plus, a little birdy told me Kino may be there." She finishes with a wink.

"Funny you should mention it." You say, laughing and showing her the text from Kino.

"OH MY GOD why didn't you say earlier?! Well that settles it, we're going. Do you know what you're going to wear!? Oh god we should start getting ready- "Lucy rambles on.

"Lucy it's 5pm!" You interrupt her, laughing harder.

She checks her wall clock.

"Oops...But still! Let's make some food and start thinking about outfits at least." She replies.
