The alarm clock's bleeping sliced through the silent, still air. Suddenly it was in pieces after a hand smashed down on the snooze.

Aquarina Mathews sat up and jumped out of her blue bed.

"Ok, what to wear on my first day as a freshman?" She began sifting through clothes until she found the perfect outfit, a purple shirt that had see-through lace on the sides, a neon green tank under it, and black skinny jeans with purple Toms. She brushed her hair, fishtail braided it (she found the name very amusing), and applied some mascara.

"All ready!" She sighed as her mom slid into the driver's seat beside her.

"Aqua, honey, remember what I told you-," I cut her off.

"Be safe and try to make some friends, other than Sean and Amy of course," I said.

"And?"

"Ignore Garrett."

"Now, remember to drink lots of water. Do you have your magic cup?"

Yes, Mum," Rina replied. She had a cup that never ran out of water.

"Wand?"

"Mum, I don't have my wand yet. It is still in the shop being checked for dark magic."

Oh, right."

The rest of the ride was silent as she was taken to school.

"Bye, Mum," I called as I hopped out of her car and grabbed my ice blue book bag from the backseat.

Walking in, I noticed that Amy wasn't here yet, but Sean was.

"Hello, my fishy friend!" Sean whispered as I sat down. "Got that wand yet?"

"Not yet," I replied. Sean was a wizard and he kept his hickory wand in his boot.

"Can you believe that we got into the most prestigious magic high school?"

"Not at all!" Aqua laughed. They weren't actually going to Miami High School, they were going UNDER the school, as in, in the basement.

"So, if there is a door that only wands can open. How will you get in?" Sean asked.

"Uh-oh," Aqua realized.

"Could you just go in with me?" Sean suggested.

"I suppose that would work. Let's go," Aqua decided.

"Hold my hand," Sean said.

Grabbing his hand, she opened the door and saw a staircase going downward.

Reaching the bottom, they met Amy. Amy is a werewolf; she belongs to the Star Watcher pack. They were great navigators, hence the name.

"RINA!" Amy shrieked as she pulled Rina into a bone-crushing bear hug.

"Amy... can't... breathe..." Aquarina gasped.

"Oops, sorry," she giggled. "Wow, you have really... blossomed," Amy comments, astonished.

Well, it's true. Her bra was two sizes bigger, her hips more round, and she basically had curves. Her beauty could put Aphrodite to shame.

"Thanks," Aqua said, blushing. She had natural ice blue highlights in her wavy white hair that reached just below her butt. She had bright green eyes and full, heart-shaped lips. Despite her hair, every guy flirted with her... ALL the time.

"So, should we head to... Wand Arts now?" Sean asked as he looked at his schedule.

Amy shook her head, "I have Combat first."

"I have Wand Arts first, too. Coming, Sean!" Aqua hollered, flashing Amy an Apologetic look as she ran to catch up.

~~~~~~~~Wand Arts Class~~~~~~~

"Welcome, everyone! My name is Professor Carter. Please take a seat wherever," Professor Carter says.

Taking a seat next to Sean, she realized that she should tell her teacher she doesn't have her wand yet.

"Um, Professor," Aqua hesitantly raised her hand.

"Yes?" He asked.

"Um, I don't have my wand yet. It's still being checked for dark magic. Am I going to need it anytime before Thursday?"

"No, ma'am. We don't really start practicing with our wands 'til next Monday," he replied.

"Ok, thank you," Aqua replied.

The class went by in a blur and soon it was time for Potion Masters class.

"Welcome to Potions Masters. I am your teacher, Professor Parker. THERE WILL BE NO TALKING!" He suddenly yelled at two girls who were babbling about this new kid, who, apparently was quite a looker.

I'm just ready for lunch.
