I sat in silence with the other five as we all tried to explain to my parents why we are here.
"I still don't understand," my dad said, looking at me in confusion. "What exactly is going on? Why do you need to change the future? And why does Spike have wings?"
"Genetics, Shining Armour," Spike said with a soft smile. "It's genetic. As for everything else," Spike motioned to me, drawing everypony's attention to me. "You're going to have to ask Flurry about what happened."
"Even still," mom said with a smile as she pulled me into a hug. "I get to see you grown up while I can still play with you while you're little. It's every mother's dream come true."
I smiled sadly in the hug, knowing that I have to break the bad news to my mom. I pull back, tears in my eyes and a shaky smile on my face.
"Mom," I wipe the tears in my eyes, which only made more come out. "You never got to see me grow up." I looked at the shocked faces of both of them. "Neither of you did."
"If we died," Shining Armour said, a sad glint in his eyes. "Then-"
"That the thing, Shining Armour," Spike said, cutting him off. "You two didn't die. What happened was a lot worse."
"How?" mom looked at me, confusion in her eyes. "What happened?"
I sucked in a breath and launched into my story...

Screams echoed through the dungeons under Twilight's castle as three ponies that the guards knew well were mercilessly tortured in front of their eyes. Twilight smirked as the screams stopped, looking at the two ponies that had been the closest to her.
"Why?" Cadence said, coughing blood. "Why are you doing this to us? What have we-"
"As the ruler," Twilight said with an evil glint in her eye. "I can do whatever I want. Guards," she turned to face the two that ran up to her and saluted. "I grow bored of torturing them. Bring me Flurry. I think we should decide what to do with the brat."
And that was how Flurry ended up in the Throne Room, surrounded by Twilight and her friends.
"So, everypony," Twilight said as she looked intensely at Flurry, causing her to shrink away from her with tears in her eyes. She laughed as she continued. "Which of us is going to take her."
"I already have Absentia," Rainbow said absently, not even bothering to glance at Flurry. "And we have more than enough ponies for the Spectra, so no thanks."
"I could use a few more hooves ah tha farm," Apple Jack said. "But I don' think Flurry is big enoug' for tha'."
"She does cry an awful lot," Rarity said, looking at Flurry with distaste. "I don't think I could deal with her in my boutique."
