"That's odd," Twilight mumbled to herself as she looked between her friends. "Where's Rainbow Dash?"

"Maybe things at the factory are busy?" Fluttershy offered.

"Maybe she's busy wi'h keepin' the fa'tory runnin' while Abs ain't there," Apple Jack agreed.

"Perhaps," Rarity murmured as she primped her mane. "Although, I do have to admit, the rainbows these days do seem a little more dull than usual."

"Or maybe," Pinkamena started. "She got kidnapped and is being held captive somewhere!"

Everypony sat in silence staring at Pinkamena before Twilight spoke up.

"Maybe she might need a little help," Twilight suggested. "All vote that we head to the factory?"

"Aye!" Everypony raised their hooves.

"And we have arrived," Twilight landed softly on the cloud in front of the factory

"And we have arrived," Twilight landed softly on the cloud in front of the factory. Having already cast the "Cloud Walker" charm, Pinkamena, Rarity and Apple Jack used the hot air balloon to arrive at Cloudsdale, landing softly on the clouds while Fluttershy dropped the rope she used to pull the balloon there. They all lined up in front of the factory, each staring in shock at the desolate building.

It had always looked grey and monotonous, with guards flooding the whole area, insuring that no one escaped. Now, there was not a single pony outside, giving the building a more haunted feel. The group shivered and slowly made their way towards the gate.

About five steps from the entrance, a floodlight was aimed at them, blinding them. Battle cries of thousands of ponies echoed from inside the gates, which were followed by multiple blasts of magic from unicorns. The five shrieked and backed away from the building, dodging as many as they could before Twilight cast a shield of magic over all of them. The blasts immediately stopped as a lone figure flew over the battlements. To say that they were surprised by who it was was an understatement.

Rainbow Dash flew down to all of them, her face expressionless, but her eyes glinted with barely-suppressed rage. Her face bore a scar that ran from her left cheek all the way across her eye at a curve, before ending just under her ears. Scars littered her body, some still bleeding while others have already healed. Her mane and tail were short and choppy and her right wing was made completely of metal.

She stomped her hooves in front of them, ordering silence from the group behind her, which quietened immediately. She looked at her five ex-friends, disgust clear on her face. As she raised her hoof, a cheer erupted from the crowd. She slowly lowered it, and the group quietened. She studied the group in front of her before addressing the crowd behind her.
