Being The Fastest Isn't Always the Best Flash

"Look it's not that I don't trust you," He said very uneasily, "But, you really can't tell anyone that I'm, well, you know. Spiderman."

I just looked at him and giggled. "Don't worry, Spiderboy. Your secret's safe with me." I said before turning into the Spanish Classroom. 

He was so cute. Haha, he thought that I might spill his secret. Being Iron Man's daughter you get good at keeping secrets, and I knew that I wasn't supposed to tell anyone about him. Besides I was kind of one of the only people who actually knew that he was Spiderman, so it's kind of obvious that it's a secret. Plus my dad talked to me about it already anyways. But awe, it was so cute that he wanted to make sure I wouldn't say anything. 

I went into Spanish, and learned that I had a bit of catching up to do. 

After Spanish I went to the lunch room like Lily told me to and got in line for lunch. 

Once I got my lunch and looked around the room for Lily when she called out to me and I went over to sit down. 

"Veronica this is Elle, Samantha, Josie, Kiki, and Lola." she said introducing me to all of them.

"Hi."

"They are all on the cheerleading squad with me." Lily said.

"You do cheerleading?" I asked.

"Ya! It's super fun! You should try out!" Kiki said excitedly.

"Ya, you should." Lily said agreeing with Kiki. "Come tomorrow to try outs! You will for sure get on the team!"

I wasn't so sure if I'd be good at it. But I probably should do some school activity.

"I don't know. Maybe I will."

After lunch Lily gave me a tour of the rest of the school and showed me where the rest of my classes were. 

At this point I knew my way around and didn't need Lily to escort me to my classes anymore. I walked to my locker to get out my stuff for math. Finally, I had math. I've always been really good at math and was super excited to go to class. 

Right as I was about to close my locker. Someone said, "Hey, I'm Flash." 

I closed my locker really fast, not expecting this kids arrival. I looked up at him. He reached out his hand, so I shook it.

"Hi, I'm Veronica." 

"Oh, I know! The one and only Veronica Stark. Believe me, everyone knows you. And your gonna be quite popular with the boys, so I thought I would get a head start and give you a formal greeting." He said. I could tell this guy was cocky, and honestly probably the kind of kid that bullies people to make him fell better about himself. 

"Oh, that's nice of you. I think." Was all I said in response. 

"Sorry but I've got to go to class."

"Oh! Ya me too! What class do you have?"

I clearly wasn't going to be getting rid of him.

"Um, Calculus." I responded trying to get by him.

"No way! Another Sophomore smart enough to be in Calculus! I'm in that class too! Let me walk you." 

Yep, he was defiantly a cocky one. 

We walked to calculus, and when we walked in I saw Peter sitting at a table by himself. He looked up and smiled at me. I began to walk over to sit next to him but Flash cut me off.

"Oh no. You do not want to sit with Penis Parker."

"Excuse me?"

"Peter Parker. Believe me you don't want to be friends with him, he's really lame." Flash said, with not a single note of regret in his voice as he spoke so meanly about Peter.

Peter just looked at Flash then looked at me then looked down at the book he had on his desk. Clearly what Flash said hurt him, but he was trying not to show it.

Flash grabbed my hand and pulled me to an empty table where we sat down. I felt so guilty, I should've said something to Flash and stood up for Peter, but it was just so fast and I didn't really know how to confront him. 

The teacher started class and we started doing some really difficult problems that were on the board. Flash quickly raised his hand to give the answer to the first question. When he said it he was completely wrong. I couldn't help but smile when his ego took a hit from that one. The teacher called on Peter who gave the right answer. Of course he did. He was really smart from what dad told me. 

"See Flash, sometimes being the fastest isn't always the best." The teacher said.

Peter looked back and caught my eye and we both started laughing, to which Flash gave a death stare to Peter who promptly turned back around in his seat. 

When class ended I finally finished my first day of school. And I did't die! Which was a huge accomplishment in my opinion. 

"Veronica!" Peter called out from down the hall when I was putting my stuff in my locker. 

He ran over to me and almost ran into me. He was so adorably clumsy. 

"You ready to g-," Peter began to say but Flash cut him off.

"Hey Penis Parker! What's up?" Flash said with an evil little smile on his face. he thought he was being funny, but really he was just being a total jerk.

(Peter's POV) 

"Hey Penis Parker! What's up?" Flash said giving me a little smile trying to look cute in front of Veronica. 

"U-um... hey F-Flash." I said. Come on Peter don't be so pathetic in front of Veronica. I thought to myself.

I couldn't believe Flash was here making me look bad in front of Veronica. I looked over at her and she was staring furiously at Flash. Then she did something I did not expect.

"Flash! That is not very nice to call Peter that. What has he ever done to you? You think that your making me think your cute and funny, but really your just making me think your an asshole. And you know what? I think that your just making a penis joke because deep down you know that his Penis is probably bigger then yours is!" She yelled at Flash. 

I couldn't believe what she just said. No one has ever stood up for me like that before. And no one's ever stood up to Flash like that before. Flash looked like he was in shock just as much as I was. 

"Veronica, I' sorry-," Flash tried to say.

"Just go." She said pointing down the hall.

Flash obey and left to go sulk.

"I can not believe you just did that." I said looking at her still in shock.

"Well, I don't like it when people are mean to other people for no reason. And especial when they do it to try and make me think their cool. It just doesn't win any points with me." 

"Thanks." I said.

"No problem." She smiled at me. She really was just as nice as she seems on TV. 

"Well are you ready to go?"

"Yes! I'm starving and I can't wait to eat the best sandwich in Queens from what you've told me." She said excitedly. 

"Alright well then let's go!" I said. And we walked out of school and down the sidewalk to my favorite sandwich shop.
