Now Across The Hall

(Tony's POV)

"So... since their apartment got blown up, and it's probably too dangerous to find another one, I was thinking that May and Peter could maybe live here. With us. At the Avengers compound." Veronica said.

She did have a good point. Things were getting dangerous for Peter and May, and I felt responsible for them if anything was to happen, so I decided that I was going to let them come live with us. Plus it would be a lot easier if Peter just lived with me instead. This way I can keep a better eye on him.

"You know what? That's a great idea!" I said enthusiastically.

"Well, dad I really think you need to think about it before you say no... wait. What did you just say?" She asked. She obviously was already planning her argument.

"I think that they should come live with us. There's plenty of space." I said.

Her face lit up.

"Well lets go tell them shall we?" I asked. And she enthusiastically jumped up and started walking towards the living room where Peter and May were.

"Hello May." I said. "I'm very sorry to hear about your apartment."

"Oh thank you." She said. Still sort of in shock from losing her house.

"Well I was thinking that you and Peter should move in here. There's plenty of space and it would be wonderful to have you around. Of course only if you want to." I offered to a very shocked May.

"Y-you would be ok with us living here. Like temporarily?" May stuttered.

"No like you'd live here forever. Unless you wanted to move, but I'm inviting you to stay forever." I answered.

"That would be awesome Mr. Stark!" Peter said excitedly. 

"Y-ya. That'd be great. Thank you so much Tony." May finally came to it.

"Of course. Happy will show you your new rooms, and if there is anything I can get you don't hesitate to ask. Or you can just ask F.R.I.D.A.Y if I'm not around." I said warmly. I don't usually invite people to live with me if they aren't Avengers. But I liked May and I honestly loved having Peter around. 

(Peter's POV)

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

I was going to get to live at the Avengers compound! This is so exciting! And I'll be living in the same building as Veronica! This is so exciting! 

"I'll show them their rooms!" Veronica piped up.

"Alright. You know which ones?" Mr. Stark asked her. She nodded. 

"Come on." She said as she started walking up the stairs.

We didn't have to walk for to long it was only up the stairs and five doors down to the left. Which is pretty close to the main area. 

"Alright this is your room May." Veronica said opening the door.

We walked inside and saw a massive room with a little living room, a kitchen, and even a fireplace. May was in shock. Veronica brought us into May's new bedroom. May gasped. It was huge and the bathroom was even bigger.

"And if there's anything you want to change, like new furniture or anything, just ask me and we will get it sorted out." Veronica said warmly to May.

"N-no it's perfect." May whispered.

"Alright well I'm gonna go see my room. I'll see you at dinner?" I said to May. 

She just nodded and was walking around inspecting every little detail of her new room, which more like an apartment, obviously in love.

When we closed her door Veronica said, "Your's in at the other end of this hallway. It's right by mine." She said with a smile.

I smiled too and together we ran down the hallway to my room while laughing. 

She opened the door to my new room and I was in shock. It was so nice, but not as big as May's which I was thankful for.

"Sorry you don't get an apartment like May. My dad wanted her to have her own space so she wouldn't always have to be with us if she didn't want. But he didn't think the same for you." She said laughing. 

"No this is way better then an apartment. Because I get to be right next to you." I said gazing into her eye's.

We gazed into each others eyes, and started to lean closer. I was about to kiss her when...

"Hey guys. Are you ready to finally go back to school?" Natasha said scaring the shit out of me.

We both jumped away from each other.

"Jesus, Nat. You almost gave me a heart attack." Veronica said.

"Haha. Did I interrupt something?" Nat said eyeing both of us uncomfortably with an evil smile on her face.

"No, what would there be to interrupt?" Veronica lied. And very well at that.

"Oh, I don't know." Natasha giggled. "Anyways, dinner is in 20 minutes."

"Why so early? It's only 6:30?" Veronica asked.

"Because you guys have school tomorrow and need to catch up on the sleep you've missed from the past few days." Natasha answered then walked away.

"Shit our project is due tomorrow!" I said looking at Veronica.

Her eye's grew wide. "Crap! I'd totally forgotten about school! How are we going to finish our whole project in one night?"

"I'll come to your room after dinner and we'll do the entire thing before it's due tomorrow." I said.

She nodded and we walked down stairs for dinner.

*after dinner*

We went back to Veronica's room and began furiously working on our project. Thank god she finished the books and is brilliant, because it made it go so much faster. 

At 11:30 we were finally done. I looked over at her and she had her eye's closed and was lying down on her bed next to a bunch of paper and our finished poster boards.

I collapsed onto the bed text to her.

"Well we're finally done." I said.

"Mmhm." She mumbled without opening her eyes. 

"I'm gonna go back to my room to go to sleep." I whispered.

"No stay." She whispered grabbing my hand.

"Ok." I whispered through a smile.

She smiled too, and just continued to hold my hand. I held her hand in mine and softly rubbed it with my thumb as she fell asleep. 

I just looked at her. God, she's so beautiful. How did I get so lucky? 

And finally sleep plagued me and I closed my eye's and I went into a deep sleep.
