Spiderman and Starks Daughter

Awkward

(Veronica's POV)

"Do you wanna come watch a m-movie with me?" he asked shyly. I smiled "It's totally cool if you don't want to. I'm just not really tired and thought maybe you'd want to come watch a movie with me, but just as friends like you don't have to if you don't want to." He started to ramble.

"No, Peter. I'd love to watch a movie with you." I said.

"Y-you, d-do?" He stuttered.

"Yes. I do." I grabbed his key out of his pocket and opened the door to his room. When we got inside I ran and jumped on the bed. "Come on!" I said, patting the spot next to me. 

Hesitantly he sat next to me on the bed. He got the remote and we decided on Star Wars the Force Awakens. Occasionally during the movie I'd catch him looking at me, but when I looked at him he would quickly stop looking at me and pretend he was never looking at me in the first place. I just rolled my eyes, giggling to myself, and kept watching the movie. 

I started to feel sleepy, but I wanted to finish the movie so I stayed in Peter's room.

(Peter's POV) 

I loved Star Wars but I couldn't seem to focus on the movie. All I could think about was Veronica. I looked over at her a few times and when she would look back at me I'd pretend I wasn't looking at her. She totally knew but she didn't say anything. 

15 minutes later

I felt Veronica's head slowly ease onto my shoulder. I froze. I didn't know what to do. I looked down at her and she had fallen asleep. I didn't want to wake her up so I decided that I would wait till the end of the movie and then carry her back to her room. 

I could hear her slow breathing, and could feel the little pattern of her heart beat. After a few more minutes of watching the movie I too became really sleepy.

                             The next morning.

Beep beep. Beep beep. 

I woke up sort of groggy when I realized that Veronica was laying on my shoulder and I had my arms wrapped around her. Oh no! We had fallen asleep! Oh god, if Mr. Stark found out about this he would kill me! Don't freak out Peter. Don't freak out. Just wake her up gently. 

"Veronica." I said in a soft voice.

"Hm?" She muttered. Then all of a sudden she jumped up. "Oh no. Did we fall asleep?!"

"Yep." I said bitting my lip.

"I'm so sorry. Oh god if my dad finds out he'll kill both of us. He can't know about this." She said panicking. "Oh god that's so awkward, cause were friends and now it's sort of weird."

Ouch that part really stung. Just friends? I guess that is what we are. But I really didn't want us to be just friends. 

"No, no. It's not awkward. It's fine." I said trying to reassure her.

"Really? It's not awkward for you now?" She asked.

"Why would it be, it was an accident." I said. And it really was an accident, but was I a bad person for being happy that it did happen? I mean holding her in my arms just made me feel a way I'd never really felt before.  

"Your right." She said calming down. "It's no big deal. I probably should go back to my room and get ready for the mission, and you should get ready too." She said.

"Ya, we probably should get ready. We're supposed to meet Happy downstairs in 30 minutes right?" I asked.

She nodded and walked out of my room. 

(Veronica's POV)

I walked out of Peter's room. 

I can't believe I let myself fall asleep. Even though waking up in his arms made me feel something I never had before, it was still really bad that I did that. It's probably going to be super awkward now. 

I walked into my room and started to get ready for the mission. But I just couldn't stop thinking about how it felt having Peter's strong arms around me.
