Chapter 5

This is it! I'm graduating now! I can't wait to attend U.A. academy!

Students were called one by one until it was my turn to go up on stage.

"(L/N) (Y/N)! With honors!" One of the faculty member announced.

"Hai!" I marched towards the stage, pride swelling in my chest. I can hear the applause of my fellow graduates. As I received my diploma and medal, my eyes landed on a pair of blue eyes. Toshinori-san! He came, I'm so glad he made it. He is wearing a royal blue suit with matching red tie. He has a wide grin and I can see a proud look adorning his face. He gave a thumbs up and I grinned back at him in return.

After all the students were called on stage,  we sang our school hymn and cheer. Our graduation ceremony ended, most students were crying including me. I'll surely miss this school, I've met some wonderful people here. Me and my friends were all going into separate schools and it's sad that none of them aimed for U.A.

"(Y/N)!!!" Two familiar voices said in unison.

"Guys!!! I'm gonna miss you!"

"Group huuuuuug!" We shouted together. We take as many pictures as we can and bid farewell to one another.

I was heading outside the school gym when I saw the tall figure of a certain blond man standing beside our school gate.

"Toshinori-san!" I called out to him as I ran towards him. He saw me and a smile appeared on his face.

"Thank you for coming! I thought you wouldn't be able to come since I messaged you in a haste." I said as a slight tinge of pink appeared on my cheeks. Idiot! Stop blushing!

"Of course I would come! I couldn't let something as important as this pass. Congratulations (L/N)-san, I'm very proud of you." He said, his smile outshining the sun. When he smiles, I can feel myself getting all warm and fuzzy inside. I really love his smile.

"Thank you Toshinori-san." I said as I felt my face heating up again. Damn it.

"How about I treat you somewhere? Sounds good?"

"Waahh! Really!?"

"Yep! Where do you want to go?"

"Hmm...ahh! Moviesss! You see, I really want to watch (fave/movie) but I never had the chance to." It's like we are going on a date!

"Ohh! Good idea kid!" I saw Toshinori-san's eyes lit up. He really love watching movies.

"Let's go!" As if on impulse, I grabbed his hand and started running towards our destination but before we could even get away from my school he stopped me.

"(L/N)-san, wait up!"

"Huh?" Noticing that I am still holding his hand, I quickly let go of it. "Ohh! S-sorry..." I said as I try to hide my embarrassment.

"N-no, it's fine. Well, I actually brought my car so we could ride there instead."

"Ahh! Hahahaha sorry, I just get so excited that's why I pulled on you like that."

"It's alright, kid. come on! Hop in!"

"Okay!" He called me "kid" twice...

The ride on the way to the cinema were pretty much in comfortable silence.

"Here we are."

"I'm so excited! I haven't gone to the movies for ages!" After we bought tickets and snacks, we picked our seats which is located at the top since Toshinori-san said that his height blocks people from watching. The movie lasted for 2 hours so we decided to eat dinner as well. We settled into a restaurant that Toshinori frequented.

The whole time we were together, I couldn't stop myself from thinking of this as a date. I've been repeating in my head the phrase "Not a date". Just two friends hanging out, that's right, stop being delusional (Y/N).

"I had so much fun! Thank you so much Toshinori-san! Let's do that again, next time!" As usual, Toshinori-san gave me a ride home and we're currently in front of my house.

"I had a good time too. Don't mention it, next time it is then!" He tousled my hair a little before getting in his car.

"Congrats again (L/N)-san! You are one step closer to your dream. Good night." I heard the roaring engine of his car together with the sound of my beating heart.

"Thank you Toshinori-san! Good night and take care!" I waved goodbye at him as he drove his car to his house's direction.

Several days later, my most awaited day has finally come. Today would be the start of U.A. academy's entrance exam consisting of a written and practical test. I am quite confindent with the written test but the latter, not so much. Ahh! But I can't give up now, I'm only getting started. I can do this!

The gate of U.A. slowly opened right before my eyes. That's right! I would become a hero that can stand any adversity.
