Chapter 7

It had been 4 weeks since the start of our classes and I made some friends along the way. I found out the name of the curly haired kid is "Izuku Midoriya" and despite not defeating any villain, he has the highest rescue points. Now, that's definitely admirable. Surprisingly, I am getting along well with almost all of my classmates even with Bakugo, at least for me I think.

And right now, I am on my way to meet with Toshinori-san at the park since...well, I plan to confess my feelings to him. I know this is not the smartest thing to do but I just really need to get this off my chest. It's distracting me in some of my classes especially when I found our subjects to be boring. I would sometimes get scolded by Ectoplasm during math class because I would sometimes daydream. But still, I was able to answer his questions even if my mind is elsewhere.

I finally reached the park and waited for Toshinori-san. I intentionally come early to practice and calm my nerves. I hope this goes well...

"I'm in love with you! For a long time now and I've been trying to stop my growing feelings for you but I just can't." There, I was finally able to say it...

I just keep my head low waiting for his answer. I can feel myself sweating despite the cold breeze of the night. We just stood in the park near my house as the moon witnessed my first heartbreak. Then suddenly, I heard him coughing and that made me look up. I saw a fountain of blood came out of his mouth. Well that's not a surprising reaction.

He opened his mouth and then closed it, opened it, then closed it again as if he wants to say something that will surely break my heart but decided against it. Ahh, i knew it, he looks pained, confused, and somewhat afraid.

"(Y-" Here goes nothing.

"It was a joke hahaha, I'm sorry, I was practicing you see... there's a guy that I like and I wanted to confess to him so that's why." I said awkwardly. Lies, it wasn't a joke. It's the truth, I've always been in love with you but seeing you like that...

After I said that, a look of surprised crossed his face for second and then he breathed a sigh of relief. The once tensed atmosphere seem to relaxed a little.

"You shouldn't have done that you know. You nearly gave me a heart attack. I thought I was going to cough all the blood left in my body." He said while removing the blood stain on the corner of his mouth.

"Hahahah I'm really sorry Toshinori-san! But you should have seen your reaction though, you look constipated!" I said, forcing myself to look happy despite the deafening sound of my shattering heart.

"I was speechless, I couldn't find the right words to say. I mean, I wouldn't want you to get hurt (Y/N)." Toshinori said softly. This was the first time he called me by my first name. It sure is nice to hear him say it but it would have been better if we were in a different situation.

You wouldn't want me to get hurt and yet, you already did. But it's not like he is aware anyway.

"I'm really sorry! But I did a great job didn't I? Did my confession made your heart skipped a beat?" I said as enthusiastically as possible.

"Well, (L/N)-san, I'm sure whoever the lucky guy is, he wouldn't be able to turn you down." But he just did...

He stood in front of me, staring intently, then I felt his large hand rest on top of my head as he sincerely said, "You are a beautiful kind young lady and an amazing person. So have no doubt because any boy would be delighted to know you like him." I almost wanted to tell him that I do love him and what I said earlier were real. Does that mean you were delighted?

"Say it louder for the boys in the back!" I said jokingly. A light smirk appearing on his face. "But kidding aside, thank you Toshinori-san! What you said means a lot to me." I told him seriously this time as I look on the ground trying to hide the sudden rise of heat on my face.

He ruffled my hair and then he leaned closer to my height.
"So who is the lucky guy? I'm curious. Is he your classmate?" Well shit.

"It's a secret! Byeee! I just remembered that I have a homework to do, so see you!" I said while running away.

"(L/N)-san!, Wai- that's not fair!" He heaved a sigh.

"Don't tease me like that or I might do something stupid." Toshinori muttered to himself.
